Give him a hard working pack and a proper 6 and 9, and SJ will do wonders.

You hurting the warriors playing SJ in the halves, he is probably the best broken play runner in the game, but he can lay on ZERO in the halves, he needs to range deeper and run on to ball not lay it on for others

So many what ifs with Warrior not only this game, but the whole season, if golden point didn't exist as well.
Can't wait for press conference.

Don't worry guys, we have basically the same team again next year. I'm sure we will make the finals this time...

Bluey in the post game talks, mentioned the no tries. I don't think there's too much of a problem there regarding the reffs. My problem is three crazy calls early in the game by the same reff;
  1. Rankin tackled in the air by Kata and Manu looked legit and normal but the reff blew it up as tackled in the air, replay later confirmed that the reff made a mistake
  2. Tigers were 3 metres out from their own line and Tigers no.17 knocks it on. The pocket reff immediately calls the Warriors offside. The replay shows the Warriors onside and in line with the "defence line" reff (defence line reff did NOT blow us up offside cos we weren't, it was the same reff who was standing by the ruck)
  3. Luke grubbers it along the ground and we get a repeat set, everything appeared normal. The reff strangely goes upstairs to check if the Tigers chasers (who made it and grounded it) were impeded in any way. Basically looking for a reason not to give the Warriors a repeat set. Turns out he was wrong AGAIN only this time the bunker could rule on the error of his ways.
I'm not excusing our defence and our lacklustre effort in the last quarter but in the 80 minutes, everything counts. Any calls, mistakes will change the course of the game.

Still can't believe the no try call for SJ, complete crap and its knocked us out this year.

I'm interested as to why we as fans aren't making more of this, and the pathetic one on half-time. If SJ scores (and in my opinion that's a fair try) we very likely win. Spose they just know it's a false dawn if we do. I was watching live score updates on my phone, just checked the highlights now and f**k me if those aren't two of the worst Bunker calls this year. Absolutely pathetic what those morons offer up.

As soon as Woods made his pathetic little effort I laughed. Knew it would go to the bunker, and knew Klein would shit himself and make the wrong call despite Woods clearly initiating contact, and despite still having the chance to attempt a tackle on Johnson not even try.

The only bunker official I'd keep from this year is Patten, and him surviving only by a hair.

The Tigers were bad, we were awful and the refs were even worse still (both ways, it should be noted). Bring on 2017.

oh, and beaten up the middle... again.

Personally in happy with that bunker call, it's pretty simple that you can't run behind your own player or you risk that result. Was always the rule when I was growing up and I don't know why they stuffed around with it tbh

I'd like to see a far bigger crackdown overall on decoys and stuff, Just a personal view but I'd rather watch some skillful backline play not involving decoys but rather skills through the hands and with footwork, am so over this block play to block play rubbish

According to the rules this year that was a try (the second / Woods one, the other one was definitely obstruction). Woods looked for and initiated contact, wasn't actually denied an opportunity at Johnson (his best opportunity would have been the one he got and chose not to take anyway).

I'm totally happy for that to always be called obstruction, but it has to be consistent - and according to how they've been talking about the interpretation of the rules this season, that was incorrect. Change it by all means next year - but that was straight up wrong.

Its become a tactic of the game now, like giving away a penalty on your line..

Woods worked it beautifully.

How far behind the player do you have to be before your not considered behind the player... as SJ was a long way behind him. Woods had no show of laying a hand on him even if the Warriors player isnt there. Thats the problem. They make it too black and white. But it requires some game sense. Why cant there be grey?

Whether he had a show or not isn't really the point though, the player being there potentially alters Woods decision and impacts the defensive lines structure. Maybe not by a lot, but he is still in the way

When I started watching a shepherd was a shepherd and very easily called. The star backline was the Raiders and Stuart and Daley never had to use decoy runners etc to ignite that backline. The loss of ability in halves play all round now to use sleight of hand to create holes is something i would love to see fixed up

The issues on today's call as jaseg quite rightly said is the complete change week to week on how they call them. Used to be so basic until it got tinkered with

1. Season on the line
2. Playing a team below us on the table
3. Opponent missing their best player (OK maybe Woods it best but a star nonetheless)
4. We have a basically full strength squad (minus RTS) bolstered by Luke back
5. Home game

If the guys can't get up for that match, WFT if going on?

I remember saying the exact same thing last year. I think it was a home game at this same stage against a poor Dragons side. Just like today we didn't have the effort and execution needed.

It's a f**king carbon copy every single season! So frustrating.

My prediction after the Bunnies game of no more win for the season is going to sadly come through. Once the Warriors have that first lost that starts the late-season collapse they NEVER come back from it. It's losses all the way until the end of the season.

And then for some strange reason we all get our hopes up that next year will be different. Next year will be the year they finally come together and live up to their potential. Next year, next year, next year...

At least this means Cappy must be gone surely. But there are no replacements available that will make me excited enough for next year to have any hope at all. Will start 1 from 5 again. Will put on a mid-season run again. Will collapse and not make finals again. Will repeat forever.

I've just been out for a bike ride to get some air. On the way home I recalled a comment someone on our forum said in about round 14, that this season was nothing short of a 'bog standard Warriors season'.

At the time (I think we'd won a couple on the trot) I thought it isn't like previous failed seasons since 2011, but now I realise it is.

Our season was over at half-time against the Bunnies. Again, someone said it here. I knew they were right but just didn't want to believe it.

As for next year, we can say anything we want, but let's just get off to a winning start. That might break the mold.
