Actually, call me someone who's had 'one too many', but was that Red Bull episode (and hiding to Melbourne) the best thing to happen to us in a very long time? Does the coach take some credit?

I thought the same thing when we got destroyed by the Panthers in 2013, but that ended up having no effect either.

It's so frustrating because we can't tell if this is genuinely good football or just the usual Origin period high.

Tui can't be right... he wasn't even jumping for those high balls.

Titans exposed the silly decision to favour Fusitua at fullback. The Tui->FB, Fus->WG combination is worth more to us right now.

I still don't like Maumalo much. I'll give him big credit for his hands seemingly improving... but barely had to work on D, had very little put in behind him off the boot, and consistently failed to break tackles. He's not a scoring threat at all. Basically just a forward sitting on the wing, making lots of runs. Sooner or later an opposition coach/halfback will do their homework on him and expose him for 3+ tries in a game. He's Manu, with less pace (despite the age difference), less scoring ability and less tackle breaking ability.

This is still just part of the Origin run until proven otherwise I think. If we're still in the 8 with a month to go I'll start believing.

 mate..not jumping as high as he was when Johnson was putting up bombs for him earlier this year against Corey Oates in the Broncos game?

I was thinking more when he beat Daniel Tupou to three high balls in the first Roosters game. You know, that game you started this stuff about - the one where you said he didn't take contested catches, then I gave you the exact minutes in which he did?

But go on, keep cherry picking.

Regardless - he should have been at fullback. That much has been clear to just about everyone but Cappy for quite some time.

Wow can you provide a link of that because that is pretty good.

Very rare occasion when you compare it to the 90% of the bombs put up for him. Last nights game did you catch that mate? :) what's the excuse there please "Tui" jaseg?

Well then perhaps you'd better brush up on your writing/comprehension skills - you put SKD & Ferguson in the conversation as if that were a genuine possibility. If Lolohea was that bad it the air it shouldn't have been necessary - Daniel Tupou is a proven good attacking player in the air, but he didn't get anything out of that in this game, did he? Made it pretty easy to laugh at with your "watch games 3 times" schtick.

As for contested takes; I'd point you to:
2nd minute
24th minute
Plus the last kick

Granted, Ayshford does a good job blocking (wow, never thought I'd say that of a Warriors player).. but the depth for the kick is there, the Roosters players are in the area and Tui takes each one cleanly.

...

All this is a bit silly anyway... Tui has proven himself a very good NRL player in just 1 position - fullback. Since that position is off the table, I'd like to see him develop in 1 position now.

There's your link.

Left the last bit in to note I never saw Tui as a long term winger, just playing there to prepare himself for fullback (RTS was fit). If RTS isn't fit, Tui should be fullback.

This argument is played out and boring, don't expect me to continue... I have beers to drink

Tui's obviously injured, and can't push off the injured leg. If the strapping above and below the knee doesn't give it away, the fact he's down on pace and sometimes awkward when stretching out for top speed should.

No, no, no..WHERE is the video link of Tui leaping higher than a leaping Tupou?

THAT is what I asked for now please provide it as I would like to see it and don't stray from what I'm talking about cos that is a defeated response.

Reminding you we are discussing Tuis inability to jump and score of a bomb or defuse a bomb. Nothing else.

I've just checked the video highlights to that game and that Tui out jumping a leaping Tupou a sight to behold but there's nothing there??

He wasn't in position to take the leap against MacDonald. Rematch, you'll see what I mean.

You gotta link for the injury?

Seriously dude? It's pretty obvious he's playing through an injury, which is something most NRL players do during a season. If the coaching staff figure a guy can play through they're not going to go public about unless they have to (i.e Johnson hobbling on one leg). Why give the opposition specific information on what to target? We typically only get information on injuries that sideline someone.

Whether it's a serious injury or not i have no idea. It could be a little niggle that's affecting his confidence, it could be a moderate injury that he's trying to grit out, or whatever. Maybe he's trying to hide the injury so he doesn't lose his spot on the team (i'm not saying that he is). All i can tell is that he's playing hurt. I'm 100% confident of that.

 Calm down mate. You think that was crappy, maybe you should check it against some of your responses to posts...

Lol, I got the same kinda response in a different thred mate. Aparently a forum is somewhere that we need 100% video or statistical proof of something or else it's just
speculation

So quit speculating would ya ;-)

Unless its Zeromissedtackle's speculation/opinions - to him no doubt these are somehow incontrovertible facts.

Getting tired of this rubbish on our forum.
