Same old story I'm afraid. No heart a
and outenthused by a professional outfit. Bad news is noone else to pick as injury toll keeps mounting.

Need someone very experienced but no one about. I'd love Gould tbh but obviously that won't happen

No doubt there is no one obvious at the moment and we can't afford to sack a coach again, but when his contract is up we have to be looking at serious contenders, unless a Belamy falls into our hands in the next 18 months.
Hopefully Doyles efforts in the office to present a professional outfit can help attract someone, the challenge of taking a talents bunch of player to their first premiership must be alluring to someone?

Yes Cappy is not the one dropping the ball or making the mistakes, yes we are playing with some inexperience on the edge and the defense out wide has looked terrible and was shown up again today. But he is picking the side and he is in charge of attack and defense.

Our mental state is a mess, can't keep it together for 80mins.

The injuries out of today, Hoffman-concussion, Lillyman-Knee, Fisatua-head/neck.

Two away games coming up against Sharks and Eels.

Cappy is showing to be a transition coach, who had Doyle got lined up to replace him?

Do you think?

Up until Doyle arrived I would've said no but after seeing a few sacked from the coaching, conditioning and now Bell, I'm not so sure.

If there was someone I'd suspect a Hasler or Toovey. Bellamy has said he's going to retire after this current contract.

I dont even know what we're meant to do for the next round with this rabble.
Tomkins may be back, but Fusitua will probably be out, Was at the game and didnt notice Lillymans injury! Was it really bad?
Hoffman will probably be back.

I got in about halfway through the first half of the NSW cup game, no sign of fish. Heard someone say he injured himself again, how bad this time?

Oh and we absolutely should've taken the 2 at 20-18. Momentum was with them, we could've drawn level and taken a different mindset from it. We don't score, they take heart from it. Having said that, our piss weak attacking structure doesn't help.

Mannering is in no way, shape or form Captain material, The guy doesn't even look NRL starting quality. Bench player, injury depth at best

You know what Lion... I'm with you on half of your statement (before you went full genius).

I was never really convinced about his captaincy from day one and its days like yesterday that *really* grinds my gears about Mannering. We let in some absolutely pathetic tries and yet all Simon could do or say was as usual look around confused and slump down hands on knees.

On our good days it's no worries, the team seems to understand each other and Mannering leads by example. But on days like most of this season, somebody (Mannering or not) needs to give these guys a serious kick up the rear and ask them wtf are they doing out there.

Doesn't do anyone any favours when the Warriors captain looks to the sky without any ideas.

How does a captain last three seasons in a row (and a deeply worrying prospect of a fourth) where his team fails to make the best eight teams in a 16-team competition?

As you wrote, It might be just the case that we have enough 'good days' to make up for it.

Big calls need to be made, doubt they will so we'll end with same old flattering mis season run, then fade and talk about what could have been

Fair point. I think he's earned currency through the fact we made the GF in his first year, then we've had coaching turmoil every year since. Bluey sucked, Elliott was deemed to be not much better, and Cappy is still a question mark. Plus Simon has had success at Kiwis level.

I'm not sure what sort of captain Simon is, but it doesn't look great on field at times. Having said that, could anyone get through to some of these guys?

I wouldn't rule out Doyle conducting a mid season (or up to round 8) review of the club. Very worrying signs and we're lucky to be holding onto 12th place. I wouldn't be surprised if several contracted players are told to look elsewhere over the next few weeks leading to mid-season transfers.

With the administration getting sorted out its only a matter of time before a decent on field Penrith style clean out is on the way
