Well this is not going to be a walk in the park, (even though their last game against the chooks) might look so. W/T have a nasty ability of growing another leg when playing us.

Therefore even without Billy Kiks, api in doubt and perhaps even leota. We need to be on our game.

Like the sharks they can and do beat anyone when on.

Lots of hard work needed this week. Plans to include perhaps Kenny, welcome back To'o and put Naden back to centre, May to bench.

Let's hope Ivan can blow kisses again at his previous muse.

Im normally very conservative but I have no doubt we’ll get the job done against the West’s Tigers. Sure no time for complacency and even if they can lift themselves for the grudge match we’ll still get the job done.

Second row is the position to watch.

will Burns come back in, or maybe May move to second row? I’d probably bring Burns back in if for no other reason than to give him a run in case we need him later on in the season.

Suppose there might be a small chance of Capewell. He’s due back the week after, but one week early wouldn’t be a huge shock.

I think Burns needs to play in the 17. Gives him gametime and May can cover Kenny. I think Capewell is named to start just incase he is right to go

Was thinking about our good starts so went back to take a look at the last time we actually trailed in a game. Here’s what I found.

We haven’t trailed in a game for over 5 matches. The last time was against the Cows, for 6 minutes (42-48), on 19/07. So 432 minutes currently without conceding the lead.

Going past that we trailed the tigers for 12 minutes in R8 and the Eels for 13 minutes in R5. That gives us a total of 30 minutes trailing out of 1,050 minutes since the resumption.

Before the break we trailed for 27 minutes against the Dragons and 64 minutes against the Chooks.

I’ve certainly felt a strange calm settle over me watching Penrith since the Storm game and this suggests there probably haven’t been many more clinical sides go around.

Nice work.

Hopefully a few more wins, and we can grab that coveted minor premiership starting with a 18-10 win over the Tiges.

Did you think he was “useless” last year? He had a few bad games, but I don’t understand how anyone jumps from that to useless. He’s worth another shot, and we won’t really know where he stands until he’s playing regular footy.

His issue was playing out of position and long minutes. Give him a shorter stint and he will be fine

Not many players could be shifted around the positions May has and be solid in all of them. Ive got no doubt he could excel in multiple positions if he was given one position as his role rather then being a utility.

As I sit here, on this chilly Monday morning in Canberra, the frost still slowly melting into small but slightly iridescent droplets on my car windshield, I'm instilled with a brilliant sense of confidence. This feeling - something that is quite foreign to me, I assure you - is almost seeping through my pores, or some other way to describe a tangible overflow of the emotion.

However, at the very back and deepest recess of my mind, lingers the beast of dread. A hairy and disgusting looking thing, devoid of any humanity or feeling, it has festered into a living nightmare that dwells in waiting to strike when I least expect it.

I can feel it there... waiting for a moments weakness on my part. Then it will pounce upon me with such ferocity that I will be unable to do anything but succumb to it's power and be left a whimpering mess. A mere shadow of my former, naively confident self...

BUT, until that happens I am EXTREMELY confident this week is a win :)

Nice. History has taught me Penrith have this uncanny knack of getting your hopes up and then the almost inevitable crash back to earth happens. And although each week I expect it, there is absolutely no sign of it happening.......yet.

Spoken like a true Panther. Describes my feelings exactly. I'd like this twice if I could.
