I said he’s not a liar. Predicting anything in rugby league is a fools errand. You might get lucky occasionally. The sport lives and breathes on unpredictability and controversy. That’s why we love it.

To be fair a lot of people here including those from WA have been wrong on many issues pertaining to WA Bears bid.

Firstly, the glaring issues with the WA Consortium and the fact that NRL had 0 confidence in it. So far as to already delegating oversight prior to the bid even officially being submitted. Secondly, just how advanced the ARLC/NRL were with the WA Government prior to their formal meeting in Sydney including in-principle agreements. Just saying.

IMHO given Vlandys clearly wants a Bears WA team then the NRL should have provided all parties with a clear statement of what a successful bid looked like. They should be a shoe in with the NRL partnering the process right from the beginning. It’s ridiculous we are still holding this discussion with no definite outcome. I don’t think this is a good way to go expansion. At all.

That looks like its set where the carparking / bus & taxi set-down/pickup is for the stadium. Just in case the parking situation wasn't already challenging enough as it is. They REALLY want us to use the trains, eh?!

Given it’s going to be street track it’ll probably incorporate parking along main straight on non race use days I’d assume. They’d have been better spending the money on the Wanneroo track though and making it half decent. It’s sadly lacking even compared to little old collie.

There could be an update in the next 3 weeks. Very broad timeframe I know but Cook’s officially on the campaign trail and PVL comes back fulltime from this week (Orthodox Christmas was last week etc).

I don’t think anything will be reported on this week, better chance of it next week and very good chance of it in the week after (end of January). Then again it could all change, as you know that’s just how things sometimes tend to go with this sort of stuff.
