Off contract Wests Tigers’ fullback Wade McKinnon has signed a three-year deal to join English Super League club Hull FC next year.

The Tigers secured McKinnon last year after the fullback was granted an early release from his contract at the the New Zealand Warriors. McKinnon only played six games for the Tigers though due to a hamstring injury.

A complete off season of Tim Moltzen getting bombed to with forwards smashing him again and again while Fulton and Gibbs blast him with a hose should iron out his liabilities.

Glad McKinnon has found something- ESL will be a lot easier on the old legs than the harder Aussie grounds.

As to Moltzen, I still reckon he is going, so maybe Brown will have a good shot at fullback with competition from Beau Ryan and Jake Mullaney.

WT do seem to be quietly going about another cleanout without any fanfare.

I want Brown and Moltzen to stay. Ian Chappell would often say do what your opponent would least like you to do. To me, Brown and Moltzen are keepers who both add considerable value to the team. To get rid of either weakens our roster but would definitely strengthen other NRL clubs.

McKinnon's move to the UK is a good decision.

How is Mullaney going these days... is he up to it now, regardless of his size, if he is tough enough he should get a shot.

I reckon Brown has done more than enough to earn a contract extension and 1st shot at 2012 fullback.

Wasn't there a rumour doing the rounds a while ago that we were chasing Kevin Locke. I brushed it at the time considering the players we have but considering recent events this doesn't seem as much of a stretch. By the way I have no facts to base this on, just remember reading it somewhere earlier this year.

Moltzen will play 1
Super coach has already tipped his hand.

We have let two outstanding fullback prospects leave in the last few years.

Moltzen is the chosen one.

I dont have a problem with this - as was said above, a bit of specialist training and he will be fine.

I suspect that Sheens is trying to manufacture another Hodgo - remember, he started in the halves as well........

Warriors just took up our option on him for 2012.

Didn't we just sign McKinnon to a 3 year deal?
Signed to end of 2012 I think. He has been our best player this year along with the emergence of Dwyer. Has been consistently excellent and made more line breaks than anyone I would guess by hunting around the rucks for an offload.

Sad to see McKinnon go. Lacks pace but I think he's the smartest fullback in the comp.

Possibilities
Tuquiri to fullback/Brown to wing
Brown deserves a shot
Locke
Mullaney?

Anything but Moltzen
