Wagon at 5/8

Can I stop having to try to convince people now that he cannot play 5/8? Surely it's obvious to all. I'm not saying he was the only bloke to play badly, but this was a problem last year and should have been rectified a long time ago.

I actually believe he is a very good lock, and one of our clubs' best defenders. Why not play him there?

If Witt played half, with Dykes at 5/8, they could share the load of creating some play. The backs would see the ball a whole lot more as well.

I am aware that it is only round one and the team needs some time to gel, but that was an extremely poor performance last night. Very few players hit high gear.

Agree with all that,Wagon as a lock i like,Wagon as a 5/8th makes me want to jump through my t.v and break his legs so Smith CAN'T pick him at 5/8th.Smith you moron, you have 3 guys that are in the team to play 5/8th,USE EM

Thorman on the bench with Witt and Dykes as the halves, then those 3 can cover anything from hooker to halfback 5/8th ,lock, centre and so forth.

IT ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE DICKHEAD IT'S RUGBY LEAGUE.

He could even play Morris at 5/8 with Hopkins at hooker. There are so many better options than the selections he made. It's ridiculous.

I thought Wagon loooked pretty good. But i do concede that as a 5/8 he probbaly is not the answer. We do need a few more attacking options in the team and theres no point putting a defensive 5/8 in if your gunna defend like we did last night.

I remember one tackle last night when Wagon got smashed early in the game & he lost the ball....he tried to be his deceptive best and got smashed by Corey Hughes

In all seriousness though, the decision to play Wagon at 5/8th or not is the least of our problems when we can't HOLD THE BALL, TACKLE or DEFEND! Forget about our attack guys, thats not the problem, the problem is our defence and it applies across the board. Even Jamie Lyon's defence was atrocious last night. Awful, just pathetic. Vella  was the biggest passenger in defence. Hindy played with a broken hand for most of the game so atleast he has an excuse.

Me too Twizboy.
I really wasn't looking forward to those Banana smoothies at Port Macquarie while naked, trying to explain in detail that D. Wagon was a star 5/8th.

When you look at it like that, it was never going to happen, was it??

Thanks Daniel for confirming my beliefs.
It only took one game.

Now, get back to lock where you belong.

Wagon at five eighth was the least of our worries last night, I'm happy for him to stay there if we can improve our defense, get that in line and up to standard, then get the 'man who cannot pass' into the postition he belongs at, either lock, or orange peeler.
