Webster won't start.

He has a role in the team to come on and run at tiring forwards.
And Morris is too valuable to move from dummy half for the entire game.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Morris played a fair bit of 5'8th last year and his partnership with Witt was a winning combination. I don't think Smith would hesitate to get Morris back in that role.

You are about to see this weekend what part Witt, Thorman or Muspratt are going to play in the Parra NRL side in 2004. If none of these guys get a run this weekend and someone like Widders is put in at Five-Eighth then these players are buckley's of getting into First Grade at any stage this year.

I would go with either

6. Thorman/ Witt
7. Dykes
9. Morris
Int. Muspratt

or

6. Morris
7. Dykes
9. Muspratt
Int. Thorman/Witt

Morris basically plays as a 5/8th who gets in dummy half at times. Dykes and especially early in the game v Souths was used more at dummy half then Morris.

Parramatta play the game as

Fullback: Burt
Wingers: Grothe & Petersen
Centres: Vaealiki & Langi
Five Eighth: Morris
Halfback: Dykes
Locks: Wagon & O'Dwyer
2nd Row: Hindmarsh & Cayless
Props: Vella & Armit
Hooker: Whoever is closest

In scrums Cayless often packs down at hooker at dummy half duties are shared Morris, Dykes, Petersen, Grothe, Burt, Webster all spend a lot of time at dummy half.

In fact the only time Parra seems to have a set dummy half is when Webster is on all other times anyone could go there.
