Wairangi Koopu

Just thought you people might be interested, I was listening to a Sports station this morning at work, and Jim Banaghan was on talking to Dean Lonergan (ex kiwi for those who don't know), and without comfirming it outright, they gave a pretty big indication Koopu will be signing with the Storm very soon

Bit of a nothing signing imo, but good luck to him

Had a few injuries recently..plays a lot like Hoffman but would give versatility off the bench and carries a lot of experience.

Not a bad signing for depth.

Why Koopu? We have the likes of Kevin Proctor waiting to step up. Big wraps on the kid at the club.

yeah, I go to almost all the warriors home games, and Wairangi is a very valuable player, I think he is rather under-rated to, he can play a number of positions and is a great impact off the bench too

He has good pace for a forward and will add the experience needed in the forward pack...a good addition if this is confirmed.

yeah ild like to proctor given more opportunities, he only really got a go when our origin players were out. Ild like to see him have a crack with the fulltime squad..definately showed some potential with the little time he had tho...would be a bit risky giving him a spot...but its worth it.
