im thinking the next person to get the job will be the fall guy who sorts out all the mess eddie has left, and when he doesnt do that well he will be blamed and then they will finally find a good coach when everything is ripe.

The sacking of Jones is the best thing that could happen for Australian rugby. Jones was outdated and coached with an overreliance on the skill and speed of the backline. Australia need a coach with new ideas and opinions and a coach that will reward Super 14 performances, something that Eddie decided to ignore when selecting his sides. The Turunuis, Roes, Dunnings, Gregans and Mortlocks will no longer be walk up starters. Australia needed this change to be in contention for the World Cup and with two years to go, they will be more than a chance. personally, I hope Dave Nucifora gets the job, but I think McKenzie will be the man the ARU appoints

It cannot get any worse than the Euro tour this season. Youre underestimating the time from now until the World Cup. There is two years for the new coach to select his squad and playting styles. That is more than enough time to prepare for a World Cup Tilt. I applaud the ARU for making the decision

hits the head on the nail. australia is already a pathetic outfit and i dont think we can do much worse than what we have at the moment. the proof of the pudding was in the eating, and nobody could reasonably expect that one win from the last eight wouldnt taste sour in the mouths of the ARU.
