Wallace's comments about Richmond's list

Did anyone actually hear Wallace's comments about Richmond's drafting/trading over the past 5-6 years???

Did he actually mention Daniel Wells or was that something the media are making up? :?

If the former is true, I'd be really, really sh*tty if I was his captain.

What Terry must be forgetting is that our pick #3 that year along with Jason Torney was traded to Adelaide for one Kane Johnson. Adelaide then on-traded that selection along with their own first rounder for Wayne Carey.

I honestly cannot beleive, no matter what he may personally think... That he would denigrate his captain like that. :?

Bear in mind here I enver wanted Johnno as captain, [-X the Captain of the Richmond football Club should have been Joel Bowden.

I think he was just broadly making a statement that the Tigers recruiting over many years has been less than satisfactory, and he pinpointed all possible negatives to flow out of it to support his case.

I doubt he meant any insult to Johnson, moreover he was just putting all possibilities out there to prove his case about the side being leanly placed with 21-25 year old players.

All clubs are going to make drafting errors, and you couldn't possibly expect Richmond to have gotten all those players mentioned over the period, but Wallace would clearly have liked for them to have at least got a couple.

Johnson isn't a slouch, but even he'd probably concede that most (if not all) coaches would prefer Wells.

Looks like questions were asked ... He backed away from the Wells comment yesterday ;-)

& Wells? Pfft, another fancy, outside runner who looks bloody fantastic when his team is winning. Another player who when his team is under the pump is terrified of a hard ball get.

As talented as Daniel is, Richmond have a much greater need for Johnno than Wells. Even if Johnno has become the new turnover king of the club lol

Careful, Young Man!

There have been those who have been more than willing to compare Tambling with Wells.;-)

Yeah, would probably be a fair call ... & further proof of why yet another Wells type player wouldn't be needed at Richmond.

Personally I've got nothing against Daniel and he can certainly hurt you when playing well - Just see no need for him at Richmond.

Especially when the alternative is Kane Johnson.
