i've only seen one half (the second half against Penrith) of the Raiders U20s side - but they all look far too small for first grade at the moment.

Fair point...but it's fair to say that Zillman isn't built like a brick sh*thouse.

Fensom was carving it up for PL at the end of last season, so it doesn't surprise me that he's going so well in the 20's. He's got a bit of talent in front of him to snag a FG spot but if they keep dropping like flies you never know...

Big enough for a 17 year old winger/fullback. There is nothing to lose in blooding a teenager with alot of confidence and right now the only fullback on a contract beyond this season.

Nothing to lose?

Please refer to case files marked Benji Marshall and Sonny Bill Williams. It's impossible to prove but I think they would have experienced fewer injuries had they not subjected their growing bodies to the physical nature of first grade football.

Exactly - Impossible to prove. Maybe those two are just injury prone?

Hunt, Inu, Hayne, Folau, Inglis, Stanley, Kenny Dowell.... All blooded as teenagers and have already played for their countries, nor have they been injured every 2nd week. It could be that they play in the 'less than physical' positions like fullback or wing.

I repeat we could go into next season with zero FG experience at fullback.

Inglis has had a couple of extended injuries from memory (he's on one of them at the moment) and Inu/Folau/Kenny Dowall have played one full season or less. If troubles were to arise they'd most likely be 2-3 years in I would have thought.

Add to my previous list Mick Weyman too.

Really unfortunate that Zillman got injured and is out for the whole season. A lot about him reminds me of Clinton Schifcofske and in the future I think he could become better than he was.

Plenty of clubs in the NRL have really good backup fullbacks ATM, Raiders are probably the only team without at least 2 players who can genuinely play at fullback, unless this Goodwin fella is any good, you guys may have problems this season.

Great attacking weapon....just has me reaching for the prozac in defence.
