Honestly I think Tim Donnely is the best 10 the Tahs have, but everyone always questions him because of his size, despite the fact he's proven himself time and time again.

I like Lachlan Mackay for you guys! He was outstanding on Saturday night and most of the reason the Waratahs won! He scored a try made 2-3 line breaks, OMG what more do you want! Donnelly was good but he was found wanting last year when the going got tough!

You could not be more right,
Donno is struggling for eastwood.

Mackay went missing for the first 30 mins of the second half.

Donnely nearly single handedly won the grade GF for Eastwood last year vs. and intenational strength Randwick. Had he not been sin binned (thank God he did) we probably would have lost.

His tactical kicking game is the best we have, he's a better goal kicker than Rogers or Hewatt (we need a new kicker) and he puts his body on the lined every time in defence.

I agree that Donnely was great LAST year.

NSW rugby has to make some changes though,
thankfully Perth are going to take some of the older blokes,
like Cannon (don't get me wrong love what Cannon can do),
but guys like Donnely and Lions have to be phased out to make way
for guys like Holies and McKay.

We have some great young talant coming through the Shute Shield comp.

Well what I have seen of him,

He is a great runner of the ball, strong and confident.

The two tries he has score in the last two weeks show
That he reads the game well, getting past George
Gregan from a scrum is no easy task.

With the talent he has outside him, Tuqiri, Turinui and
Rodgers (if decides to turn up of course), his game
Is tailer made to the running game that will win the Tahs
The championship.

Can someone tell me Mackays positives? Apart from his size.....

Other than running? I've got nothing.

His kicking is ordinary, the fact Rogers was kicking more proved that, we need someone who can kick.

So what??

That is common practice in Union now days, for a
non-kicking based Fly-half.
As was the case for the Brumbies on Saturday, with Mark Gerrard
doing most of the in play kicking.
