f**king woeful is a more direct way of describing it I believe, to think Kevin Spacey will have that blemishing his CV forever.

Well considering the production hell the Superman franchise has gone through u could have got something like this

my two cents, the only real thing missing from Superman Returns was a strong villain to bring out Superman's sense of power. The drama was brilliantly done, imo- but what I hope Warner Bros realizes that if every movie is a gamble- (and in a sense it is).... having a filmmaker with Bryan Singer's resume is the safest bet around for a sequel to make big bucks

But one thing i just do not understand is why the hell did they leave out the Return To Krypton footage:roll:

Bryan Singer deserves a another chance i dont want to see another origin story everyone and there dog knows the origin of Superman
Krypton-Smallville-Metropolis

And for the love of god keep Brandon Routh as Superman

... and get Ian Roberts back in as a henchman! From memory, he only had one line, and that was a grunt when he got hit. Surely he can get more than that ...!

For mine Superman isn't that interesting a character because a) he is too nice and b) too powerful.

Only way to really get him is with Kryptonite so it ends up being like a Batfink episode. You know the bad guy is going to get some and that is what will happen.

Also Batman has far more interesting villians.

Totally Agree, Bryan Singer promised to go “Wrath of Khan” with the sequel.

Superman has some really great villians but those knobs at Warner Bros continually go with Lex Luthor

Such as? I have tried reading a few Superman stories but apart from the one where he dies it was always like a batfink episode for me, where instead of always standing under something for batfink Supermans enemy in the story comes up with Kryptonite which reduces his power until he gets it back and then goes on to come out on top.

The 3 Superman movies I've seen are essentially the same as that as well, except in #2 he gave up the powers.

Not saying Superman is bad, just imo Batman is far better and that is because he has more character, nowhere near as all powerful and the villians seem better such as the obvious Joker, Riddler, Catwoman, Penguin, Scarecrow and my favourite Bane.
