Announcing his retirement from Australia, Victoria and St Kilda after the Sydney test match.

Would have retired after the 2005 Ashes, if Australia had of won.

Seems that he may still play for his English county team.

He has said more than once that first class cricket in Australia is the best first class competition in the world.

He has no immediate plans to become a cricket commentator, despite media reports to the contrary.

The two people he admires most are Richie Benaund and Ian Chappell.

A sad day for all Australians.

He is the reason why people around the world are glued to their TV sets all day of a test match. Every time he bowled there was always somethign exciting happening, and he always looked like taking a wicket with every delivery.

A wonderfull record, and the best cricketer since Bradman to walk on the planet.

Tendulker and Lara are the two hardest batsmen to bowl to.

The best domestically has been Darren Lehman

He would love to work with Cricket Australia to coach young spin bowlers in Australia.

warne, for all his image as a boofhead, is actually a petty articulate, well-spoken bloke.

truly great player.

What a career, pity he can't compete in the up and coming World Cup before leaving cricket completely here in Oz, I still reckon he'd kill 'em in ODI! Hopefully he will see plenty of kids practicing their leggies!

totally revived the dying art of leg spin bowling in this country, and spin bowling generally. for that the game owes him a great debt.

I was shocked hearing him say he would have retired last year had we won the Ashes, I thought he would go onto play to hes 40.
