It's the height of professionalism for our club doctor to be pouring schooners on the chairman in public.

You couldn't make this shit up if you tried.

At least it was a good Aussie schooner, not some exotic glass size.

There's a lot of un-Australian behaviour going on these days. I came across some young kids laying into a car with a baseball bat yesterday. I admonished them and lent them a cricket bat with which to finish the job in a respectable manner.

One thing I do like is the fact he wants to bring all our games back to parra stadium.

good work mate ... the thinner edges on a cricket bat do a much better job too

btw - the beer was at a game wasn't it - so it was probably a plastic f**kin cup

There is a UK show called Footballers Wives, about a fictional london based soccer club. I think we could make a factual documentary about the Club that would have more drama in it.

Only on the side between Sullivan's Creek and the Northbourne Flats. The rest of it is too expensive / too gay / too budhist / too Mormom now for old School violence.

EDIT: I forgot the Old Canberra Inn, and the townhouses next door where some of the Raiders live and throw debris at passers by.

Sullivans Creek? Is that the storm water drain that runs through Turner, O'Connor and Lyneham, onto Dickson?

Yes. It runs through the ANU and into the lake.

I wasnt aware it was still called Sullivans Creek after it becomes a storm water drain from Turner to Dickson (and then Im guessing even into Hackett and beyond). I knew it was called that within the ANU.

EDIT - Actually looking at Google Maps the Sullivans Creek stream seems to go off in a different direction at Lyneham and runs west of the High School...So the 'branch' that goes to Dickson between Daramalan and the shops must be just a storm water drain, because it isnt really on the map....

I thought the Raiders were housed and recruited from those charming apartment buildings on Northbourne around Fenner Hall and the Rex Hotel?

Those blokes with baseball bats and syringes?

Probably a good testing ground for young forwards. One of my colleagues (a petite Asian lady) got mugged there in broad daylight last year....I'd warned her...but she didn't believe me.

Now that the Bogan from Thuggeranong has been moved on I don't the Raiders have a player originally from Canberra, although Campo is from Queanbeya and they have a few guys from Cooma and Goulburn that play in the local league.

Yeah that is where that dude was murdered a couple of years back. I use to live in Braddon, not fat from there

Yep - when I was at uni in Canberra in the late 90's a friend got mugged and stabbed (not fatally) there. Sadly, I see little has changed.

Still if thats where the forwards are being developed it'll keep ASADA busy!
