Yep that was Millward's fault..I read an article that even when he was working in England he talked St George Illawarra out of signing Robbo and rang Wayne Bennett and told him to endorse Steve Price.Well we could have signed the current Roosters coach way back when we played the world club challenge game in the UK - 2011. But instead we decided to elevate Price as our replacement for Bennett. So we have a history of this.
Bhaaaa.. You mean they caved from the pressure NZ media have caused.. Hmm where are there balls exactly?

Doubt whether the Legal Eagles had much to do with the Terms and Conditions.I expect Kearney’s contract had KPI’s, unlike McFlop’s.
The legal team that prepared the contract for STGI should be sued for the financial loss sustained by the JV in being unable to sack super coach.
It is looking more and more like this R&WTILLIDIE! If Mary can get the team up to beat the Roosters this Friday night, the pen might just be given to him to sign on the dotted line. Oh no!Paul Green to be sacked, John Morris to be sacked, Dean Pay to be sacked, Kearney already sacked. That means there will be potentially 4 clubs looking for competent coaches. Meanwhile Dragons will again be caught with their dick in their hands and will come up with the same excuse of “all the good coaches were signed up by other teams so we resigned McGregor for 3 more years.”
Yep...If they do manage a win, all the heat will be off Mary, and the players and club will go back to being and accepting mediocrity. It is looking more and more like this R&WTILLIDIE! But won't that just prove we have the cattle but not the coach.Yep...If they do manage a win, all the heat will be off Mary, and the players and club will go back to being and accepting mediocrity.

Even Mary ( been here too long now) had us almost to the Grand Final but key injuries to Widdop and Tariq beat us at the death.
Hi All posted previously about the role of coaches. Great players make great coaches.
I believe we overestimate the influence of a coach. Yes, they do have an influence no doubt. That said even the ‘great coaches’ ( Gibson, Bennett, Bellamy, Robinson) need a top roster of players. Have Maguire and Green suddenly become poor coaches? Probably no, don’t have the rosters anymore. Gibson won comps with Parramatta yet tanked with Souths due to modest roster with Souths. Bennett had the great Brisbane teams and a Dragons side with top players but tanked with Newcastle when rosters slipped and adversity struck. Robo and Bellamy have stuck to one team only on the main. Both coach clubs who are modern powerhouses able to keep and recruit top line players.

Agreed Coaches do influence but not as much as promoted.
I do not believe you are watching the way we play very closely. The coaching in our case is fundamentally the problem; no less.Hi All posted previously about the role of coaches. Great players make great coaches.

I agree but our #1 issue right now is recruitment and retention which is becoming increasingly difficult without a top liner.Hi All posted previously about the role of coaches. Great players make great coaches.

Whilst this is some what true, and great players make great coaches.
The question is: how does a player become 'great' in the first place?
The Warriors deserved all the poor results they’ve had over the last few years. Appointing Kearney as coach was moronic. If it’s possible that there is a worse coach in the NRL than McGregor, it’s Kearney.
