I remember in 02 when we came against the Warriors the Daily Telegraph was trying to get everybody to support the Roosters, but I highly doubt many got on our bandwagon.

apart from the tigers the only sydney team id support in a grand final against the warriors would probably be the sharks and panthers

sydney teams actually have rivalries, unlike the qld teams

Interestingly, this weekends' Grand Final marks only the third decider since 1999 that has NOT featured either the Roosters or the Storm, and the first time since 2005 that this has been the case.

Thank f**k for a change. At least we'll get two teams with fans in their local areas who actually give a shit!

Canterbury have a long way to go to catch up to the "Big 3" hated teams: Manly, Brisbane, and Melbourne (in no order). Hating those three is in the blood, whereas Canterbury have come a long way since their 2003 adventure.

Four in my group and all going for Warriors now. Nothing to do with Kiwi vs Aus. I just respect a team that was on the ropes after the first week of the finals dust themselves off and come back when no one gave them a chance.

Pretty easy for neutral fans to show support for Warriors on the day too - everyone owns a piece of black clothing. I'm expecting ANZ Stadium to be as black as Brett Stewart's heart.

Can't speak for every Kiwi, but I don't. It's my club vs Manly, not my country. Have also been a fan of a number of the Aussies that have played for us.

Plus, in NZ during the 80's & early 90's, Manly were the most supported Winfield cup side. There are a number of Kiwis still supporting them and many more with divided loyalties. I've personally always hated Manly, but if they win this weekend it'll be well deserved. They've been great this season and deserve their favoritism.
