Gal calls out Val for leaving when he has a contract for next season, how ironic it would be if SJ ends up at Cronulla. I’d like to hear more from Professor Gallen.
When the story broke about SJ I got the impression that the Warriors told him he could look elsewhere...So basically he took their advise.

They told him he couldn’t expect another contract o the same money and that if he wanted to test the market he could. Which was fair enough since they had cap issues and he was eating up a lot of it.

Just shows loyalty works both ways.

It's kind of a mutual agreement though.

He really hasn't produced over the last few years so the Warriors are kind of justified in wanting a fresh approach going forward.

If he wanted to stay then the Warriors would have been obliged to pay him for the remainder of his contract. He's presumably leaving to put himself in a better position- either on more money or in an environment where he can be happier and/or play better footy.

The fact is that they are two quite different scenarios.

But whatever. I'm not here to stand up for Gallen because I don't even particularly like him myself.
SJ wanted an upgrade on his current deal, but at $1m+ he’s not preforming. Warriors said no, he got the shits and asked for a release.

He’s a good player, but isn’t earning his $1m

$J also spoke to several clubs before he re-signed with us last time. Had no prob testing the market and leaving us waiting then.

Shoe on other foot...toys...cot....gone

This has a lot to do with SJ's agent who has played games like this before. Now he's got zero clients on the Warriors books after years of having several.

Unfortunately we now seem to be in bed with Moses (Kearney, Blair, Green, Beale) so we're sort of trading one leech for another.

It's why I wouldn't be shocked if we ended up with Mitchell Moses, which is funny sering as we just released $J after he threatened to do a Moses.

NRL - the drama never end.

f**k Moses. I’d rather a year of mediocrity with Hiku or Harris filling behind a decent pack than buying another flake with an ego.
