Cowboys vs Broncos. Well, was it?

With quality both sides displayed throughout the game combined with the drama of the last try, the Hunt knock on and it being poetic for Thurston to kick the field goal. For me, it was the best ever.

I'm heartbroken obviously but it was an incredible contest and the best possible outcome this season. I'm buoyed by the fact that Brisbane proved tonight that with more experience together, they'll be a force.

Was a good game but not particularly good team performances. Broncos were meh and Cows just did enough to beat them. Last year Rabbits would have smashed the shit out of both teams.

1989 was more dramatic in my eyes. 1999 was pretty dramatic as well.

1977 & 1997 were both very dramatic as well.

this grand final is certainly amongst them!

Best since the comps came back together. (2008 excluded of course. Booing a crying teenaged Israel Folau after full time is one of the truly great moments.)

I've seen 1989 on tape and I was at 1997, and they were both pretty special.

Deserves to be in the discussion no doubt. Too close to the event to say. Once the emotion dies down it would make a very interesting comparison with 89.

What made this GF so dramatic was the missed conversion and the build up to it. We've all kicked those side line conversions down the oval with no one watching.

89 still pretty amazing. Especially since that individual muffed the field goal.

No.
Only one team was playing football in the second half. The other was trying to run down the clock.

I think that's the thing about 89. There were just so many events during that match that made it so special. Steve Jacksons run will always be one for the ages.

86 was pretty amazing esoecialy as the dogs finished the match 1 m out from the try line

It was entertaining but don't mistake equality for quality. Both sides were ordinary in defence in the first 60, attack was flat throughout and the kicking games were bog average.

Don't even get me started on JT as MOTM... he wasn't close to the best player in that game.

Parts of the 2nd half were ordinary but that ending probably erases all of that
