problem is that with bugger-all ball, Smith still managed to keep canberra in the game.

You described their ball control as "scintillating" :lol: no, they were very conservative - which is fine. But, they need to make better decisions about when to take a chance, something Anderson had them doing pretty well, it seems now that it's all or nothing - either never try anything, or try something on every play.

Any game where you get through 91% of your sets completed, that is scintillating.

When you do something that hasn't been equalled in the NRL all season - that is scintillating.

Fine, there where was conservatism, but six months ago people were hanging their heads in shame at our ball control. This has improved dramatically this season. That is a credit to the coaching staff.
