Ive seen ads for the new movie the incredible hulk.
Is this the same movie that was meant to come out about 4-5 years ago? Did it get delayed for some reason or is it another remake so close to the last??

I remember the song 'set me free' by what became Velvet Revolver was on the soundtrack and released under their individual names as they hadnt yet decided on a name for the band.

I saw a clip with slash saying how every kid loved the hulk so it was cool to play on the record.

So, did that version suck so bad they made another one within a few years?, is it the sequel to that one?, does it have anything at all to do with that one?, or is it actually the same show but it was delayed??

Are you talking about the one with Eric Bana in it? Cause I'm pretty perplexed as well.

The first one (with Eric Bana) did come out a few years ago, critics didnt think it was much good though.

Now this is just a whole new Hulk, critics like this one.

The other Hulk movie (with Eric Bana) wasn't released by Marvel and they weren't happy with the way Ang Lee directed it. So, having re-acquired the rights to the property, they went about doing one that was more true to the comic book. Edward Norton, a huge fan of the comic, re-wrote the script and this is kind of like a franchise reboot (much like with the new Batman and Bond films).

Ang Lee version of The Hulk (2003) played on the relationship between father and Son (Nolte and Bana)., some kind of Greek tragedy thing made it a little bit boring.
Nortons Hulk is a lot more better, more destruction than ever, The final battle with abomination was absolutely awesome.
There's also a cameo appearance from Iron Man (Tony Stark).
Excellent film.

Yeah, this was definitely a much better product. Norton is a far more sympathetic and likeable Hulk, the support cast are as good (if not better), and the villain is far truer to the comics and far more entertaining than a lame father/son rivallry.

The ultimate goal is to eventually do an Avengers movie with Iron Man (Downey Jr), Hulk (Norton), and whoever ends up being cast as Captain America and Thor in the planned movies.

Given that Norton had a massive falling out with Marvel and has now washed his hands of the project to the point that he has done no promotional work on the movie I doubt that they'll be able to cast this particular Hulk in any Avenger style movies....

Norton had falling out with producers unhappy about the final cut of the film, I heard that Norton's version includes 70 mins of film not shown.
Get ready for a SPECIAL EDITION DVD.
