I thought exactly the same thing. Really admired the class and discipline of both Manly and Brisbane. I wouldn't care if the team was losing as long as they were playing well. I take no pleasure in them winning when it's off poor performances against other dud teams. I'm sure we have the quality of players available and it's mostly down to coach and management not challenging the players to be at their best.

When it comes to that aggro and lifting team mates, we really miss Ellis and Heighno. They inspired the likes of young Dwyer and Gibbs as well. Might have even inspired Blair by now.

We are so far off the pace it isnt funny. I just cant see even at full strength how we have the speed,aggression or skill to compete with the better teams. We will improve but not to that level

The titans even have much better structure and a solid if basic, game plan. We look as woeful as Parra and Penrith and are clearly one of 3 worst sides in the comp.

this. i always walk away feeling somewhat empty after a scrappy, shambolic win against a hapless team like the titans or eels.
