What I can't wait to see is Watmough and Brett Stewart next year, Brett scores a hell of a lot of tries off Watmough's breaks.

They could be a real advantage for NSW, he prob woulda bagged a few last night off Choc.

Simply outstanding performance in two games. Him and Hayne were head and shoulders abover any other NSW player with Creagh a distant third.
Absolutely.
Watmough destroyed them in attack and defence, and Hayne was NSW saving grace the first two games this year.

WAT MOG was on fire. Proper ORIGIN intensity and passion. Never liked him before, but I saw a different side of him last night.

Awesome.

I couldn't believe they chose his as starting lock but he was awesome. No one in the QLD team could tackle him. I did't realise how short he was though before though.

I dunno about that.

Watmough from memory has only played 3 Origin games. His first was a shocker (2 years ago?).

His last 2 games have been superb.

Played game 1 in 2005 and only got 15 or 20 mins. He was not terrible just did not get a opportunity in his short time on the field. He should have been in the side from 06 onwards as he is built for origin. Dont think he got a look in due to a perceived bad attitude from that camp in 05, apparantly carried on like a d!ck, no idea if it is true or not.

Even as a Manly fan I was concerned about Choc playing origin due to a few silly things in his game over the past few seasons, however this bloke has added the polish to his raw talent in 2009. He has reached the age where he needed to put his hand up, cut out the rubbish and become a leader, now he has dominated a couple of origin games as a result.

He's just moved into that very influential player group, and Manly should reap the rewards for the remainder of the season.

On another point, that Origin game was probably the best I've seen. The tries, the passion, the attack, the big d, and a few all ins. This Inglis bloke make you stand up every time he touches, what a big game player he is. So many fantastic performances in this game, it's just a pity NSW didn't start game one with the experienced grown men in the halves. Could have been one of the greatest ever series.

What a game, I love Rugby League.

The best thing about Watmough is that you can tell the Qlders genuinely fear him, in both attack and defence.

I think the future looks bright, especially when you see how threadbare QLD is up front without Petero (getting older, hopefully a LOT older next year, but still a champion) making everyone else look good.

He played well, no doubt. Still can't work out why he had a #13 on his back though?

f**k i hate him, i really do, there are very few blokes in the NRL that i hate more then the Manly Sea Eagles Anthony Watmough, his twin brother, the one who plays for the NSW Blues, however, i cant get enough of him. Love him to bits

I admit I had question marks over his defence, but he was outstanding. Aggressive and had plenty of impact.

Exactly what Gallen has tried to be but has failed.

Well it's not as if he played the role of a classic lock forward. He is a running forward, but he tends to make his mark through the middle more so than modern day back row forward who looks to punch holes in the edges of the ruck. Perhaps it's the sign of a new style of lock forward, one who can run through holes with good pace, like a fullback.

well that's the thing - I think in origin in particular where there's less ref involvement and the game is faster, you need really mobile forwards. I think watmough and his ball-running was the perfect example of how much of a difference it can make. don't you reckon?

 I know the feeling with other players. Players you can only love 3 times a year.
