to get rid of the list down the left hand side of the screen go to the bottom click on the drop down menu and choose default style.

Love the new forum btw. To get max exposure to those links on the side wouldn't it be better to cram the threads in next to them rather than underneath them? As it is I just fly right past them as i scroll down.
