Watson puts kibosh on Big Bash final appearance..

THE TONK

Shane Watson has ruled himself out of the Sydney Sixers' Big Bash League final as he continues his recovery from the nagging calf complaint that has derailed his Test summer. His withdrawal is a setback for the Sixers although the Sydney side has not had the star player available all tournament. ''So there's no real gauge as to how good we can be with him because we haven't played with him yet,'' Sixers all-rounder Moises Henriques said. ''[But] someone of Shane's ability, he's only going to make any side better.'' Watson is aiming to be fit for the ODI tri-series against India and Sri Lanka before the tour of the West Indies in March.

:shock::shock: Watson still out..

I'll tell you something Moises..The Sixers would be better without you..:p

Are we still waiting for a bloke who has scored 7 centuries in 11 years to come good?

apparently he (Marsh) now has the third lowest series batting average in the history of test cricket (min 5 innings) of just over 3

Well he's achieved a record that stands him in the history books at least!

Probably the lowest ever series average for a batsman who scored a century on debut as well??

time to bring back pidgeon as batsman only at no 3. Statistically, he's more than twice the batsman Marsh has been this series lol

Stuart Broad is now statistically a better test batsman than Shaun Marsh.

Watson straight back in at 3 for the Caribbean. Khawaja the reserve batsman for the tour.

so he only made those runs because he batted at 5 ?

nothing to do with his batting ability ?

so you guys think he couldn't bat at 6 either because of his stats at 5

stats worshipers, fmd
