Wayne Bennett has turned to whinging

From news.com.au "...Former Broncos captain Walters suffered a suspected fractured eye socket and a broken nose and coach Wayne Bennett claimed Walters had received an elbow to the head. Walters said later he was unsure how he sustained his injury but he was still bleeding more than an hour later.... Bennett was critical of the officials for not taking action over the incident which exacerbated his fifth-placed team's horror run of injuries to its halfbacks. "He got an elbow to the head, and it does look like a fractured eye socket and a broken nose," Bennett said. "We had a referee and a linesman and they couldn't see it, but everyone sitting in line with it could, and I was sitting in line with it. "It wasn't just something that was obscured in the tackle, because it was easy to see. "We've got people reviewing these videos, surely there's enough people that can see what's going on without us having to get involved." Ok Mr Bennett... why? I watched the match and all I saw was a team losing it's way. Nothing wrong with tackle. The final haven of the coach is to blame the referee.

He should be fined for shit like that.I didn't notice anything in the tackle.
Wonder if Hodges is close to getting a run and put Lockyer at 5/8?
Not likely.

What do you mean, Willow, "Wayne Bennett has turned to whinging."?

The man's been a whiner from day one. Whenever his team gets beat by a better one, it's always the ref's fault or some other version of "it's not our fault."

The man should wake up to himself and learn to take defeat on the chin. He sounds like a whiny child. "It's not fair, Mum!"

I think he is basically saying that because Walters could not take any further part in the game and Priddis was crook, that it was Smiths fault.
He is calling for a judiciary comment on the tackle where Walters was injured.
Thebroncettes were down to 2 replacements and that hindered their style. He is right.
The Dragons smashed 'em.
They(the broncettes) came 2nd at their own game.
Still it saves giving credit to the opposition, continues the building of the seige mentality, and poor bugger me.
As a coach he is bound to look after his own team.
Analysis of the days resultsis easy.
Dragons 2 comp points,the non-accountable public company,zero comp points.

And here I was thinking that Bennett was trying to deflect attention away from himself by blamimg the ref.
Perhaps Bennett thinks Mander should have tried harder to give Brisbane a leg up.
The penalty count was Brisbane 10 - Saints 7.
Tingha should have been allowed to score after that intercept. Brisbane got plenty of favours from this Qld ref.
C'mon Wayne, what ever happened to just saying, 'we weren't good enough?'

The news is that Craig Smith has been cited and faces up to 6 weeks on the sideline.
Fight it Smithy, you did nothing wrong.

If Smith gets 6 weeks he should really break Walters eye socket just so the punishment fits the crime.
If Walters has any integrity he should appear at the judiciary and tell them it's a contact sport and that Jim Hall has lost the plot.
I notice Hannibal Beattie got charged a grade 1 obstruction?What a joke!!

Well I can't believe he's been charged.
The incident has been all over the news today. Walters claims he has been hit by someone. He can't remember anything but he says he 'must have been hit'.
The media has gone into full stride on this one. I guess we're about to find just how 'knee-jerk' the judiciary really is.
I always expect the worse from those jokers. There's a word for this sort of bias behaviour.
One of Brissie's favourite sons has been hurt and looks like they want someone to be dragged over hot coals for it.
Whats next?
