Of those clubs mentioned in the bullsh*t article, the one I can most likely see him going to is the Cowboys. I think everyone can see that they've been massive underachievers for years now, and with Thurston they'd be a chance at a premiership. He'd also be closer to his family than he is now;

Then:

Stay at the Dragons - I actually think he might stay. Especially with all the rumors flying around, I could see him announcing that he'll be staying soon, just to shut the media up.

Bulldogs - Have the cash, he likes the club, they've recruited well, and I think he could see a premiership there providing their young halves perform (and Bennett would be the one to bring the best out in them).

Broncos - Enough said, I just have a feeling he wont want to go back there now though.

Newcastle - unlikely. He likes the club, I think he'd be a very good fit, have the cash, he'd be away from the Sydney media. The only reason I don't think he would is because I think he's after a premiership straightaway, and I think he's past the stage of wanting to bring through, and look after a bunch of kids. He'd probably opt for a club that's ready to win the comp next year, not one that may need a year or two to develop young players.

Souths - I just cant see that being a good fit at all. He may go there to finally bring them a premiership, but with their halves I can't even see Bennett getting them one (and I think even Bennett probably knows that).

Ignorant comment is ignorant. Our attack isn't the problem. We scored a lot of tries last year, we're likely to score even more this year.

Our one glaring problem is defense. Bennett is famous for getting his teams to play great defense. Combining the defense we'd get with Bennett with the attacking firepower we have, we'll be unstoppable.

That's why I think Bennett would be a great fit and Bennett knows he'll be a great fit. One of the reasons I'm confident we'll get him.

Merritt is off contract this year, Boyd could replace him under the cap. Obviously he could get more elsewhere but if he's so attached to playing with Bennett he'll take a bit less to switch to us.

It won't surprise me if along with Bennett we get either one or both of Boyd/Nightingale to replace Wesser and Merritt coming off contract. As well as Talanoa going it should create enough space if the opportunity comes up.

IMO Darbs is far more likely to either be at Saints or the Titans next year than anywhere else. Saints are his incumbent club who he has just won a comp with and the Titans will have far more ageing players coming off contract than anything Souths, with their bulging cap, could off load. He's also a Goldy boy and he has stated in the past that he'd like to return home.

Well Bennett, Nightingale and Boyd are all off contract. We don't need your permission to get them. By the sounds of it those 2 will follow Bennett if at all possible. And someone will take Talanoa, he's young and he's good, and he's probably cheap. If you guys won't take him I'm sure someone will.

Nightingale, Boyd, Bennett in. Lang and Wesser retire. Merritt and Talanoa move elsewhere. I like that.
