Absolutely sickening.

The spin machine is in overdrive. I can't wait to see what they come up with when the season starts and we quickly end up near the bottom of the ladder.

Sheens has serious tactics issues...Morris at 7 and Benji at 6 doesn't work, so his grand solution is to put Marshall at 7 and Morris at 6? fmd, how did this bloke ever win a comp...

Teflon Tim threatening to tap players on the shoulder again and raising the spectre of his own (and his coaching staff's) demise too????? Ooopps, bad luck - did that one last year!!

or

Club strong in junior talent waiting for them to mature and raise the club from mediocrity. Ooops- done that one too.

or

unsettled in key positions (half and prop) with injuries causing difficulties. Oops- thats been done.

They will have to be creative this time. Referees / impact of rep fotball disruption (even though few if any, players invovled)?????

Matt Head on one leg and with the tackling ability of Roy Bell made Morris look like a statue at half last season.

Do we have a fan who thinks Morris is the best option we have for any position on the field?

I recall Morris at 5/8 for the Eels that year they won the minor premiership... He seemed to go OK then. Only a) he had a decent specialist halfback on his inside and b) he hadn't been shopped around to a hundred different positions and been asked to fit his square peg into a round hole during that particular season...

I'm pretty sure he had a good season on the wing for Newcastle too. Although, a backline with Matty and Andrew Johns in it could probably make Matt Dunning look good on the wing.

He just isn't a playmaker's arse and that's what we really need.

The thing is...if a journo or fan suggested the team after Sundays outing was as brilliant or full of potential, not so flashy but by god, they have a fkn go...if someone suggested to Sheens and co that - about the team, they'd be playing it down, pouring more water on it than you could row an oar in, saying its only early days, one trial does not a footy season maketh etc etc.
But by jesus...Johnny Morris is set for a super year ofter 40 mins

I was going to agree but I might do a bit more research. Can I ask a stupid question ?..What does Wayne Cousins look like just in case I um bump into him ?

Marshall said any criticism of Morris’ style of play was unfair, adding he was happy with Morris’ performances at half-back since taking over from Scott Prince two seasons ago.

This about sums it up regarding what can be expected from Sheens' Marshall-at-halfback experiment. If Benji is that easily impressed, what does it say about his comprehension of the #7 position?
