Form after 4 rounds mean nothing
I can't agree with that. Not nothing.I think a team can establish some foundation after 4 rounds. Maybe not a shite load, but enough to get the ball rolling (confidence and momentum)and make other teams take note. Canberra are on a roll and spirit and momentum in the nation's capital must be at a 90's high. The Raiders have certainly made other teams stand up and take notice of their performance so far. I'm not saying they'll win the title or even make the final four, but there gonna scare the beejeezus out of many of the 'big boys' from here on in, with there opening rounds performances.I think they'll be considered a serious threat if they can topple Parramatta, Canterbury, and Melbourne (away from home) in the nextsix rounds with Souths, Penrithand a bye in there. The Eels at Parra's Stadium will be the tuffy.
I can see them on18 competition pointsand without a defeat, by thestart ofround 10 when they meet the sharks at Toyota Oval. Never an easy task.It won't be easy for the Raiders to go undefeated 'til then, but it will not be impossible either.
They've got me paying attention.....ATM anyway.

Even though they were only a converted try down going into the break {16-10}, the Raiders set the foundation in the first 40 with an ordinary display capped by aheavy penalty count against them and a half full ofall kinds ofuncalled-for errors, to never being a threat in the second stanza. The Storm keeping the Raiders scorelessfor the entiresecond half personified that.
Orford was outstanding {yet again}with a superb game topped off with a 7/7 kicking display. The kid's on fire.

Yep, I'm now living in the real world with the rest of you. It wasn't pretty and teh gameplan for the second week in a row went out the window. Drew had a shocker while the amount of dropped balls ensured we were never in the contest.

Overall, I thought our defence was still pretty good considering the amount of possession the Melbourne Storm had. Our attack was anemic and the Storms defence was superb. They bustled us all night with a little help from Shayne Hayne.

Rod Jensen should never be allowed near first grade again. I always had reservations about his ball security and in his first match of the season, he dropped the ball twice at crucial stages.

Hopefully, this will be the wakeup call and get the teams mind back on the job. The pressure is off now so they can just concentrate on football.

Well done to Melbourne on a great win. I never had much hope for them but their forwards, especially Kearns gave it to us all night and I think they are a big chance of toppling the Broncos next week.

I guess we had to lose eventually and we were building to it withtheordinary effort against Souths. I doubt we will drop that much ball in the next month, let alone next week and ifour forwardsget their arses into gearagain we should be back on track sooner rather thenlater.

At least we are still well clear of the dragons:p

a great win by the storm last night,if they show the same commitment next week against the broncos we'll come away with the two points.

i'm not getting carried away just yet as i've seen to many poor performances, the boys did look like a tight knit unit which has been missing post 99'',full credit to the raiders who hung in there the entire match even though it was'nt going to be there night.
