Shameless commercial plug for this newish website - don't think it has been plugged on here.

http://wearexiii.co.uk/

Mission statement:

Frustrated by a lack of Rugby League merchandise available for teams outside of Super League and the NRL, we as a group of League fanatics decided to create this store to provide like-minded fans with the harder-to-find shirts from around the world. By working with national federations and suppliers from both the sport’s more established and emerging nations our aim is to provide our customers with jerseys which stand out, whether it be in the pub or on the training field. Our hope is that we can also use our site to help benefits the grass roots development of Rugby League across the globe.

They currently have playing shirts from

Lebanon
PNG
Sweden
Samoa
Spain
Tonga

Hopefully they can get a few more countries on board as time goes by.

I reckon if they could diversify into the polo shirt / T shirt market they would definitely do well. Certainly would get my business !

Have found polos are more suitable than the jersey for many people as can be worn in a lot more settings ( including work ...like I do !)

My Southampton Spitfires polo is always a great conversation starter when attending games. I'm sure a Sweden / Spain / Canada etc shirt would do the same.

(Would actually like to see a London Rugby League shirt - using the emblem the RFL has for promoting / administrating league in that part of the world. Sure ex pat Oz / NZ types on the UK working holiday could be a ready market if done right)

I'd prefer t shirts or polos too. The problem I have is I like to wear them on holiday but nearly every shirt I see is a dark colour which I don't want to wear in hot conditions. Does anyone do white or pale coloured shirts?
