I get the feeling the Tigers sacked Taylor in order to increase their chances of keeping Woods, Tedesco etc..

I doubt there's a chance - though if there is then it should be explored.

I said it at the time (actually before he was being released), but we should have used Foran money to sign Paul Vaughan...

Of that list after Woods (it's not complete since there are guys listed as locks or second rowers who are middles - plus guys will come available throughout/at the end of the year despite contracts)...

Seumanufagai is a Lillyman-type contributor, could be useful.

Matt Scott... people talk about his injury problems, but he hasn't missed many games before this year and anyone can do a knee like he did - his price won't be as high as before the injury with clubs dropping out now. Would have a look, but not pay too high a premium (or give him a contract longer than 2 years).

Alex Twal is a rookie, but easily the best rookie in his class and position (2016 20s grad)... I can't find a real knock on his game - averaged 55 mins/game, eye-catching work rate, barely missed a tackle, strong runner who can break tackles and get offloads, very few errors and not a huge penalty concession rate either.

Plus guys like..

Nelson Asofa-Solomona - incredible ability to get over the advantage line, break tackles and offload.. but has only been seen in low minutes and gives away plenty of errors and penalties.

Scott Bolton - we're seeing this year what a few (mostly Cowboys fans) already knew... this guy has been very underrated for a long time. Seems like no chance to leave though.

Paul Gallen - obviously not coming here, may not even be playing next year... but he's off contract and quality.

Jai Arrow - he's small, and I mainly like him for his offload ability... would seemingly take a bit to get him out of Brisbane so it'd represent a significant risk for a guy who doesn't seem to fit with Kearney.

Jason Taumalolo - the ultimate. Easily worth more than $1m/yr. Also his presence would encourage Mannering to move to the edge (since he's playing 13 at the Cows) and have us playing with three big middles.

Yes and we have in the past. Campion, Price, Wiki
Yep, so from jaseg's list perhaps Matt Scott could be high on the list, or Gallen

Taumalolo is the ultimate, the ultimate test of whether we can turn a NRL star into a numptie

Nah he would go fine. He is a wrecking ball, doesn't need team mates or organized play to do his thing. Just needs to be passed the ball, and pretty sure the Warriors could manage that one simple task (albiet probably behind him or on his shoulder/head).

Well, yes - but again he's outstanding given quality team mates and organised play - Hoffman was pretty good too

Taumololo would be insane to come to the Warriors IMO

Player swap? Glanville for Luke. Then JT would be comfortable that his dummy half can get him the ball ok...

I know Hoffman came after being the man of the series in NSW's series victory, but I think as a general rule Blues players want to be in front of the Sydney selectors and media. Look at Hoff, he was dropped by what, the start of 2016? I could be wrong but I wouldn't imagine Woods would give it a second thought. Playing in amongst our rabble could derail his rep career.

Akauola for Penrith showing some ticker.
Looks Warriors like carrying carelessly in one hand.
But hitting the line with purpose.
