hello.....

u-huh. yep ok, i'll tell him.

yep. thanks. bye.

hey SpiderDan, that was any girl (or guy) that has ever slept with you telling me how much better I was.
if a guy told you that about me then they have mixed me up with someone else. but if you like hooking up with dudes that's your business. not that there's anything wrong with that.

Pretty sure some things are easily missed or forgotten, hence the news bringing it up again
like your constant rants about super coach hagan?

(and a love for yourself that nobody else shares)
ditto your love for hagan.

It WAS the same recruitment guy who told Israel Falou he would not play NRL, THE SAME guy who told Nathan Gardner the list goes on.

Did anyone actually consider that at the time he was told that, he actually wasnt good enough to make it??

Some people improve, some don't - its a fact of life. He improved and good luck to him.

Storm didnt rate him either :x

So?

When I was a younger, drunker man I used to bump into NRL players all the time. I told them all they'll never play first grade.

To put things in perspective people don't always get it right or sometimes a player is just at the wrong place to succeed. Works both ways. Plenty of players that get identified as stars that do well (eg hayne), plenty marked for success but not so good (Paulo, Bahrain, green, haslett), some get marked as a future gun but need to leave before doing well (McGuire, hinchcliffe) and some that get told they are crap but then do well elsewhere (yow yeh, Gallen). Just coz we didn't identify yow yeh doesn't mean he would have been a gun for us.

Ps I have only used parra linked players as I don't have too much knowledge about other clubs juniors.

I shit you not, I used to play Oztag with Benji's cousin.

Back in 99 this bloke told me he had a cousin called Benji Marshall who was going to be a rugby league superstar.

I said "Just because he's got a big sidestep doesn't mean he'll make it in the NRL." or words to that effect.

I also cast doubts on Jarryd Hayne when everyone on the old official forum were raving about him. I hadn't seen him play but I'd heard of loads of youngsters who all the nuffies said were the NEXT BIG THING. I assumed 'Jazzy' was just another one.

Well imagine how many sooperstats we will have once the Academy is up and running.

Actually serious question: is it being built on the vacant land on O'Connell St?
I thought I saw some surveyors there just the other day.

I remember the name now, I think Noel Cleal spotted him when he (Cleal) first started as the Eels Recruitment Officer.
