Week 2 final v Storm

When we got flogged by the Storm in Rnd 9 the headlines were 'ruthless Storm put Eels to the sword'. Yet, when we beat the Broncos last weekend all you can say is that the Broncos were hopeless. In both cases, it was one team at their best playing a team at their worst.

We didn't even try when Storm belted us. Plus it was a different side.
Brisbane where garbage on weekend and flogged the week before by the dogs. Cooked.
Against Storm earlier in season we had neither of the Browns, Evan's or Blake. That is 4 of our better players.Plus Manu was just back from Injury. Sivo and Mahoney(who was on bench) are far more developed players now and have a bigger impact on our side. Alvato was fat and sluggish but jas dropped weight now.They are also missing are missing Welch

I pointed out how they had not left QLD for over 2 months. Home games along with games against Titans and Cowboys. It made their form look ok.

When Arthurz first got hold of us he tried to turn is into a ruthless grinding Melbourne style team and it was a f**king disaster.

Against Rooster I'd play expansive

How good that Sterlo calls Moses on the morning of matches just to have a chat and wish him luck. Sterlo also is in the sheds at half time when he can.

I still think he's a positive for the Eels. I listen to what he has to say than a lot of other media merkins.

Everyone craps on about how Canberra have melbournes measure .... FFS they were a couple of minutes from losing to em. An uncharacteristic melbourne mistake was the only reason they won

2 kicks Croker normally makes where missed. Had he got one it's most likely 8-0 halftime and not 6-2.
Raiders also went close a other 3 or 4 times. Storm did not look like scoring.

Right, and the best teams are usually better suited to expansive footy, which is why shit teams usually stick with one-out-shit-up-the-middle. Melbourne might have better forwards than us but it was their backs who ran riot in Brisbane earlier in the year. In wet weather they wouldn't have had it so easy.

Obviously neither will we, but we're the special case of the underdog being better at using the ball. In general the team who is best at expansive footy is also the favourite. In Melbourne's case they're good at both styles of play, but our wingers are dangerous through the middle as well.

Are our forwards small? Evan's,Jnr,Lane,Tepai are big boys.

He tried to change us into that team or he tried to play to the strengths of the team (of which there weren't many)? Our backline at the time, excluding Semi was poor, our "halfback" wasn't good.
