Well Done Bronx

Well done Bronx Goodwin. After a shakey start you made me gladly eat my words with some great fullback play. His take of that spiral bomb was outstanding and he put his body on the line defending a number of short kicks from the dragons.

Monas also had a great return to Canberra stadium and was dangerous with the ball in hand. Showed some great centre defence too which we've been missing for years.

Linc also did some nice things with the ball when he came on and I thought Henry balanced him and Hinchy well.

Now all we need is our halfback to hit some form and we'll go OK - although it was a tragedy to lose Graham with what looks like a serious knee injury. :x

To keep the Dragons scoreless in the second half was a great effort IMO. If we can defend like that for most of the season we're on our way to the finals.

After a wobbly first ten, he really hit his stride for the final 70.

Glad Henry showed faith.

Bronx was always my first choice for FB ... hopefully he'll now get an exended run to prove his worth.

Zilly sat right next to us at the game tonight .... we joked around with him and told him he should remain at the Raiders ... got a giggle out of him.

Zillman is a good player. Goodwin is a good FULLBACK.

That's the difference between the two. I can't see Goodwin regularly scoring 100 metre tries like Zilly, but geez, I got that confident feeling I haven't had since Schif left whenever there was a high ball, or a line break.

It raises an interesting question.

If Goodwin's form holds, and he's that good all season, what to do next year?

Zillman wouldn't be out of place in the centres if you ask me, he could really do some damage. Only questionmark is his size in defence, but I think he'd be fine to be honest.

One thing i really love about bronx that zilly doesnt do is the chatter from fullback

bronx is always screaming and yelling at line, letting them know exactly where gaps are, he is a great communicater from fullback... something Zillman is not

also bronx is up for grabs at the end of the year...we might be holding the FB spot for a bloke thats farked his knee twice in three games.

take a punt and SIGN BRONX before he starts to catch the eye..

Zillman halves or wing maybe..:?

Nothing wrong with him getting fired up from the back - I've often said I love that part of his game.

What pissed me off was his poor positioning for kick returns and the way he gave up in defence on a number of occasions.

There's no doubt the dude can play but he, like Withers, needs to do it consistently.

Let's say that Goodwin has a bumper season. Zillman with his pace and agility would for mine make a sensational super sub to come in the game when some of the big boys are on tired legs. After all it is a 17 man game nowadays.

There lies the problem I think with our team. We have a great bunch of young players...we just need to get that balance right.

If TC is hooked on 7 then Zillman would make an outstanding 6, with Campo off the bench.

Great for attack but stuffed if I know what we'd do in defense tho
