Well Done Manu Samoa

Great effort for a team that cant even field its strongest side thanks to self serving club rugby sides. England were rattled & looked even more uncomfortable than they did against SA. It took the poms a good 70 minutes to finally wear us down.

In some ways I would like to see eligibility rules weakened, especially after seeing the likes of Orene Ai'i, Dylan Mika & Sam Tuitupou play for Auckland the other night. How much of a difference would they have made for Samoa tonight.

Bring on SA.

MATE, i WAS CHEERING FOR 70 MINS AND ABUSING THE REF THE LAST 10. NOT BLAMING KAPLAN, BUT I DO THINK SA REFS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO REF MATCHES INVOLVING TEAMS FROM WELL SUNTANNED NATIONS. rUGBY CLEARLY HAD A BIG WIN IN BOTH GAMES TONIGHT.BY THE WAY I AM 100% WHITE SO DON'T LET ANYONE COME THE RACIST CRAP WITH ME. RUGBY IS THE ONLY ISSUE I WILL DEBATE.

What a game, Samoa shot out to 10 nil and your usual thought is it is only a matter of time before the favorite will pile on 40 points. But once Samoa were up they play a brilliant well structured game. If they had got the penalty shot that would have put them ahead 13 to nil I think that would have been a huge mental barrier for the English. Instead Samoa missed the goal ENg went the length of the field and scored to make it 7-10. Well done Samoa, I hope like hell the IRB can now see that the island teams would be a huge loss to international rugby.

I really think the way forward for the Islands is to compete as a combined side in the World Cup, in a similar way to the West ndies in cricket. Samoa are generally competitive but struggle for money whilst Fiji and Tonga tend to struggle a bit, however if they pooled their resources they would knock over the big sides on a regular basis.
Top effort against the English, who now look VERY beatable for NZ in my opinion.

It was exactly the game the World Cup needed. Samoa were great and England, well, they showed nothing imo. One try from a rolling maul (nothing new there) a penalty try which may have been a little harsh and a try from a kick, all be it a good one, but not one that would worry NZ, Australia and France all that much. Plus superboot wasnt so super

If Australia, NZ and France can nullify their forwards, i dont think their backline can win it for them. Which would make me very happy btw.

But yeah, great game by Samoa and that try was a brilliant try and the way the game should be played. Great stuff.

I dont know much about Union but from my point of view it seemed to me that after that first try Samoa never really looked like scoring again. I was quite impressed with the Samoans physical presence and defensive application but both sides seemed bereft of creativity in attack(except for that last english try).
