Spewing, SPEWING that Dessie put a specialist fullback on the bloody bench, but all credit to you boys for coming back.

In his limited time, how did Brett Stewart go?

He only got ten minutes. Very annoyed about. Should have either started premier league or started first grade.

There was a nice young lady at the entrance to the hill with the petition, i was gonna say something to her but was too shy(what a good sort). Noticed King just up from me handing out the Tooheys News like they were bottles of water to marathon runners. Honestly how do you blokes get home? Someone must be driving you. Wasn't our prettiest win, but geez it was good to be back at Leichardt on a sunny Sunday arvo with a big crowd. Makes me wonder why we have played games at Telstra and have 1 booked in for NZ. I think had the game been played elswehere we wouldn't have got out of gaol(not talking about Campbelltown either) and before all the smart ones tell me about the money, i realise that, but the best way to make money is to win and be successful.

Is there anything better than a come from behind win????
Geez it dont happen very often but when it does its sweeeet mate!!!
10 into the 2nd half and we were lookin like bums....I thought we were
gone, but something clicked....the crowd kicked in too....Prince put his
right boot on his right foot and things started to look good.

Great to see a come from behind win!!!!!!!!!

Great to see the forwards powering upfield and going forward, making metres (I know its only Manly but wat the hell)

Great to see the kicking game working!!!

Great to see a large, noisy home crowd almost filling Leichhardt Oval!!!

Great to see Lima & Gibbs have big ones and both get 4 pointers too.

Great to see the old signage gone....phew

Great to see my son and his mates having a ball on the field entertaining the crowd and getting his pic taken with a Tigers legend (Junior)

Great to see the professionalism with the S.L.O. venture. Onya guys, good work. Today was a prime example of why S.L.O is happening....we cant lose this...it was excellent there today.

Oh yeah great to see Rif had a good result with the raffle, what did you score mate??

And great to see madunit on the big screen (thought it was Keanu)

What a great day!

I think the crowd, at all grounds, home and away have been rather quiet and subdued lately. For the amount of people there it was dissapointing.

It was my first time to Leichhardt today and I was very impressed, great ground and a pretty good game too. Pity we lost but I managed to see some of the Premier League.

yeah westie i have to agree with you. Usually the leichardt crowd is noisy and 10,000 seems like 15,000, but apart from once or twice in the match, they were pretty quiet.

It was an ordinary performance from the team today - we did well to come from behind and stick in there when momentum wasnt going our way and im happy that we won - but gee we look pedestrian near the line. We (again) really lack those quality game breakers that can do something special! When Marshall comes back, give him the no 7. Incidentally, we scored most of our points when reynolds was off the field so he maybe he isnt the answer at half. Maybe we should give Kerr a run next week.

Also, at 30-16 I wouldve liked to have seen the boys go on with it a bit- get one more or maybe even two quick tries to hit manly when they were down - 40-16 - thats what the good teams do.

My first trip to Leichardt and won't be my last. Maybe its due to the enclosed grandstands but Brookvale is a mile louder with a similiar crowd.

It was also my very first game at Leichhardt yesterday as well. I arrived at 12.30 to the ground and proudly spent 2 hours handing out petitions and getting signatures for the S.L.O campaign. And I'll be happily doing it at every other Leichhardt oval game.

I got into the ground and I was awestruck, people everywhere, the atmosphere was awesome, the sight was better. I have wanted to be a part of a Leichhardt Oval game for 17 years but never got the chance.

And then to be on the big screen (finally :p ) just before the first grade game was a huge thrill as well in front of a huge crowd of like minded fans. Thanks RifRaf for that, you made me look good, not an easy job to do. "Blue Steel" ;-)
Ink, Keanu is hopeless, I shat all over him

Even better yet, my tigers come from behind and whooped the Manly side in the second half. I'm addicted that ground, I want more.

Save Leichhardt Oval people, I don't want this to be a rare occassion for me, I want them to continue until I'm a very old man. ;-)

I think it was a bit subdued yesterday because we were behind for a good while. When they came good the crowd perked right up.

WHEN things went bad for the Wests Tigers yesterday they did not just go pear-shaped, they disintegrated like an egg breaking against a brick wall.

The Tigers were trailing 16-8 midway through the second half against Manly, their key player, half Ben Reynolds had just broken his leg and coach Tim Sheens conceded he was worried.

Then somehow the Tigers produced four dazzling tries in 15 minutes to effortlessly sweep Manly aside for a crucial 30-22 win.

Built upon a quickly expanding self confidence as the points continued to come, the Tigers could do no wrong.

Sheens and the Tigers captain Scott Sattler partly attributed the resurgence to crowd support and renewed focus.
For whatever reason, the Tigers won a game they looked like losing against a Manly side that is never beaten at least until the kickoff.

The Tigers' recovery started with Scott Prince moving from five-eighth to half, versatile Ben Galea going to pivot and everyone assuming more responsibility.

The points spree started with centre John Wilson scoring in the 57th minute.

It was followed by tries from centre Shane Elford (63rd minute), prop Bryce Gibbs (69th) and replacement forward Jeff Lima (72nd).

It swept the Tigers from trailing 16-8 to a match winning 30-16 lead before Manly ran in a consolation try. The win reignites the Tigers after a couple of earlier disappointments this season and a tough run coming up against leading sides.

"If I said I wasn't worried at 16-8 and the halfback hurt, I'd be lying," Sheens said.

"But a couple of our players came to life. Scott Prince started taking us forward and the crowd helped by getting behind us."

Three of the Tigers' five tries came from circumstances that needed luck on the day, including two from bombs and one from a wild pass that was aimed at no one. But the Tigers held on when the pressure was most fierce. Prop John Skandalis was outstanding, having a hand in a couple of good tries and working non stop.

Lock Scott Sattler was equally effective and his tackling helped paper over some defensive glitches by his teammates as the disrupted Tigers line up sought cohesion.

For Manly it is now six losses in succession and there seems no way coach Des Hasler can turn things around at the moment despite his intense commitment.

"We made line breaks but the 50-50 chances went against us," Hasler said.

Manly's immediate prospects look grim unless they find a win.
In the Telegraph this morning there was a sub paragraph to this story which went into the crowds invovlment more so.
Sheens said he had no doubts the crowds support and cheering helped the guys on, and satts said while he's normally in "the zone" and he dont normally hear the crowd , he did yesterday and it helped him and the boys stay focused etc.
I dunno but from where we were sitting in front of the main stand it sounded pretty noisy to me...it was great.

It sounds like there were a few Manly virgins at Leichhardt on Sunday - I was also there for the first time and it was great. Of course a win would have been better, but the crowd were friendly and not a pack of ar*eholes when their team stormed home for the win.

It was a great afternoon and an exciting game - hats off to the Tigers supporters for being gracious in victory.

I think the crowd was pretty quiet for the first 60 minutes or so, but once the Tigers got back into the game it certainly picked up.

Watching the replay on Monday you could hear the difference when the crowd started chanting.
