Welsh reserve halfback, what a spastic

Don't know his name, only watched bits of the game, but this is the thing worth mentioning.

Deadset worst piece of play ever- Wales on attack with 1 minute left, he picks the ball up from the scrumbase and kicks it straight to an Australian player. He then retreats all the way downfield, fields the next kick, and puts in an even worse kick, somehow managing, in the space of 2 kicks, to lose 50 metres and hand the ball to Australia.

Beyond belief.

I agree. He should never play international football again. He was almost daring Australia to win it. They had what, a minute to go when he packed that scrum, they should have just tucked it under the arm and rolled it forward, waited for the hooter and smacked it out. Or wait till the Aussies got impatient and gave away a penalty and kicked for goal.

That was the most stupidest minute from any international player in the history of test match rugby. He singlehandedly undid all the good work previously. He should have got the man of the match award for Australia.

This is something that I have seen in union a couple of times...

most notably in the Super 14 final a couple of weeks back.

The Sharks are up by 6 and recieve the kick off. They then kick the ball away with about a minute and a half left on the clock. The Bulls then work their way down field and the hooker puts a grubber kick through. I can't remember what happened after that. I think (unbelievably) the Sharks kicked the ball back to the Bulls again and then obviously Habana scored.

Ridiculous. North Harbour got it right when they took the shield off Canterbury. They just kept the ball in the back of the ruck for the last 3 mins of the game and then kicked it out.

Simple.

btw... didn't see the Welsh incident.
