It just seems too strange and left-field to just place in the article though. It's not a nice fit even if its just rumour mongering.

I guess it's wait and see.

If this were true, I wonder whether Leeds would promote the three (in England) as the signing of three former Wallabies or three former Kangaroos. ie which of their careers is better knonw in England. Theyd have probably played more Wallaby tests than Kangaroo tests by now, wouldnt they?

Pure bull if Tuqiri, Sailor and Rogers were going to come back to league they would undoubtedly comeback to the NRL.

Rogers said somewhere that he wants to win a Prem with the Sharks so if he ever returned to league it would be through the Sharks. Tuqiri didn't have many years in the Broncos so he probably would want to go back there.

Perhaps someone is waiting to see if they remain in the Wallabies??

The Rhinos, however, are refusing to comment on speculation linking them with former league stars Wendell Sailor, Mat Rogers and Lote Tuiqiri.

..............
Hetherington was also tight-lipped over rumours the champions are to make a move for Sailor, Rogers or Tuiqiri, former Kangaroos who all made a successful switch to rugby union.
"We never comment on speculation," said Hetherington. "We have two vacancies in our 20-man squad for next season and they will be announced in due course.

If Tuqiri goes back to league it will be with the Broncos, unless they don't want him.

Rogers and Sailor are virtually at the ends of their careers. Rugby in Japan is a more likely scenario for Sailor.

Wouldnt be surprised if NSW are getting cold feet with sailor, it seemed like signing for the sake of signing, but i cant believe they would let rogers and Tuquiri go, they would be farked!!!

Rogers and Tuqiri get only a smallish percentage of their salaries from the Waratahs....most of their dosh comes from the ARU. If there was to be a bidding war, it would be the ARU who would have to put up the money to keep them, not the Waratahs.

They are both signed for a few more years arent they?

Wouldn't be the first to go to SL if they don't think they can cut it in the NRL.

I suspect they're probaby made some sort of contact with one of them..

Leeds can potentially offer a great deal more money than any NRL club can. They are also the most popular rugby club of either code in England which could be an attraction.

They all will be hoping to make the 2007WC.

If Sailor is not selected then its Japan,he would be past his use by date for the NRL.
Rogers would return to the Sharks if he was omitted from the WC squad, anycase age against him.Lote has a contract ending 2007 after the WC,he is more than likely to return to the Broncs.
Still if the Wallabies continue to get smashed, who is safe ?maybe youth is the answer and get them onboard now.

Tuqiri most likely WILL comeback to the NRL after the 2007 RWC going by media reports but we will just have to wait and see, on Sailor and Rogers blah who cares?
