I did not see a lot of manly games this year is matai a lock. If he plays there he would need to pick up his discipline . He seems to get penilised a lot i may be wrong

Ever since Manly has signed Jamie Lyon, there has been calls (most notably Ken Arthurson) to move Matai to Lock. I think it'd be a great move, but, I wouldn't start him. I'd use him as an impact player that comes off the bench.

But I think he'd do fine as an impact second rower tbh.
