Another shithouse performance. And the panthers are a crap team in my opinion. I guess we are even worse. Were do we go from here. I know we are still only 2 points behind the team in 8th but we don't seem able to string more than two wins together. I thought until tonight we had improved defensively but I'm not so sure after tonights game. Our attack used to keep us in games now we can't seem to score any points.

No team can do well with as much talent sidelined as we have. It simply isn't possible in the salary cap era.

What about at the start of the year when you were just as bad?

You're fluffier than a rabbits tail BM.

Agreed when the combinations made by the coach and halves have players running into four defenders rather than through gaps on every tackle it doesn't matter how talented the ball reciever is

Honestly most of the injuries have improved the Souths attitude. While the replacements aren't near as talented, they've brought in more enthusiasm and effort. Which for the most part has stiffened up the defence.

All those players sitting on the sidelines make it hard to win games, but they weren't play their best when fit either. If you could have everyone firing at the same time you would be a force, but too many players are lazy and/or inconsistent for that to happen very often.

That's why I always felt it was a mistake to let Champion leave to sign Inglis. As far as club form goes, I think it's a downgrade. You're paying more for a player who will not play as well or try as hard. Kinda like David Taylor who only seems to have fired up to earn a spot in the QLD team. Where's the pride in playing for the club?

We'll just have to keep toiling away and hope that the entousiasm of the new kids can somehow replace the experience and skill of the injured players. We need to win 8 of the last 13. A tall order but not impossible.

the injuries has wrecked our teams demise simple as that.

one-eyed rabbitoh.

You were poor before injuries, in fact, Souths looked even worse with a strong roster.

Injuries are a cop-out, there is a bigger problem than that. Souths were always going to be a fringe side with or without injuries.

We lack major consistency which always comes back to bite us in the arse. Granted we have had our fair share of injuries, but it think it is more of a mentality issue than people think (as has been said previously.....dont get me started on that last try).and that is one reason why i for one am not throwing the towel in just yet.its not that we cant, we just dont.dont want to sound like i am in love with the guy, but i for one think that madge arriving next year far outweighs sandow leaving, even though it is a big loss.

Souths, K.I.S.S.

We did start the year off with injuries, but unfortunately FD is right in regards to us playing worse with a better roster.

We had no structure, and I still cannot see any coming through so far this year. Sure, the continual injuries have hurt hard, but we still had the halves intact and they are doing sweet FA.

Another season gone, and whilst we will jag wins over the rest of the year, just accept that we have to look to 2012 now, or you will just be deluding yourself.

Our preseason was recked as well. Inglis, Burgess and co all had interrupted preseasons which meant we couldn't train properly, figure out our combinations etc etc.

So we had the poor start we had because of that, then just as we were starting to figure things out and get a couple wins on the board we started getting long term injury after long term injury to key players.
How shit must your conditioning staff be.
Look at the Tigers and Knights. They've also been hit hard.

Nothing is wrong with our conditioning staff, it's just bad luck.

Our physio is Errol Alcott, he was the Australian cricket team's physio for 20 years, he knows what he's doing.

Bad luck? Its happened the last 3 years. Surely must be realising its simply more than "bad luck". Saints were always injured when we had mcgregor as ours once he finished his tafe course, but Hickmans has shown what a professional can do.

Cricketers bodies are the same as rugby league players.... good on BM.

Indeed, but someone said 17 injuries this year? Similar last year and the year before... Either your players are built like girl scouts or they are doing something wrong.

Yeah you could be right or we could just be unlucky. You can't judge something like that.
