...However, the Warriors profited from another blue by the match officials which resulted in the try that gave them their 24-20 victory.

With just seven minutes left in the game, a Storm player kicked the ball close to the Warriors line and directly at the face of winger Manu Vatuvei, who raised his hands to protect his face or deflect the ball.
spac_writeAd("/site=s/area=s.stuff.sport.league/aamsz=300x250/ch=");

A touch judge thought Vatuvei did not deliberately play at the ball and the Warriors were granted possession, but the review indicated Vatuvei's hand appeared to follow the flight of the ball and push it upwards and into touch.
The committee decided after reviewing a third angle replayed from behind the goal line that Vatuvei played at the ball.
From the resultant possession, Vatuvei charged down the left flank before passing to Webb to score.

hmmmm, although we still might not have won the game, it certainly cost us a shot at it, although after that matt king blunder, i really thought we threw our chance away, interesting though...

What about the Vatuvei so called forward pass?

The Webb no try that was clearly a try?

Fair dinkum. If anyone was robbed, it was the Warriors.

Webb had a fair try disallowed (The Referees Catch Up meeting for the week confirmed it should have been awarded), Vatuvei had a fair try disallowed for a forward pass, and off the back of Webb's ""interesting"" no try ruling the Storm score the next set.

Borderline insane thread this one.

Webb clearly knocked on.... hence the no try... Vatuvai clearly played at the ball... and the vatuvai pass was clearly backward...

in conclusion, both sides had some dodgy calls go against them..

MONY, I thought you'd disappeared. Looking forward to your review on a few of our lads now that you've actually seen them in action.

The Referees Committee confirmed that the Brent Webb incident should have been awarded with a try and that was a video refereeing error.

Ha! We would have won by 30-20 if the Ref had made the right calls so I wouldn't be complaining about the Ref.

I've got it 34-26, but i'm including the King try at the other end after Webb was screwed over.

just so u know, im not taking anything away from the warriors, they deserved the win, i just missed this in the game, and thought it mite be an interesting talking point, no point coming in barking and screaming warriors fans, u got the 2 points, but with a win comes alot of talking points of what ifs, as melbourne has been subject to week in week out this year, are u warriors fans a little worried i might be right? at the end of the day though games over, you guys won, end of discussion i think, though i dont appreciate it being labelled worst thread ever, i think its a viable talking point, and i bet if it was picked up and we scored and won, the warriros would be making a fuss also, and just so u know, this story is off sportal.co.nz, written by a new zealander, shows there was some doubt in ur minds too...

No, it was the wrong call. 100%.

We're just balancing it with calls that went against the Warriors earlier. I also think the pass for the Hoffman try was legit.

If I'm not mistaken, a Storm fan said 'worst thread'.

Coincidentally, what was the complete story? Seems a bit of a cut and shred job.

Warriors and Storm both had forward pass try calls go against them that could easily have gone the other way. 1/1

Warriors had the "no try" Webb try go against them, Storm had 'not played at' call go against them 1/1

They were the major wrong calls, both teams go 2 dodgy decisions... they cancel themselves out = Warriors winning by 4 points.

We should really be looking at why we lost, and that was because of our poor conversions on top of poor completion rate..

Great. But again, can you give a link? The story is incomplete and quite frankly, its not immediately apparent on sportal.co.nz

This is the third time a link has been requested.
