Wesser played very soldily in Rounds 2, 3, 4 and 5. But he was woeful in Rd 1 and Rd 6 yesterday

He keeps his spot for next week but if he plays poorly again soon he should go for Merritt at fullback

see this is exactly the same problem that taylor had at the club in the past and which led to us having our poor form, after one bad performance he would drop the player down to the lower grades. the best thing about lang is that he shows faith in our players which has led to champion and lukes great starts to the year.
im not sure, but i dont think lang has drop anyone from the side this year due to a bad performance.
as for capewell, i think he is a great player but not quite ready for firstgrade yet, i believe they are doing the right thing in giving him a year in reserve grade like what the doggies did with barba.

I recall Champs being dropped once unfairly but other than that I seem to remember everyone complaining about him picking the same team all the time.

I to agree with DKOR. We shouldnt get rid of him based on that performance alone. And based on what champs said about Langy giving the guys confidence to try stuff without fear of being dropped for a poor performance I think he will be named at Fullback this week. I guess its about putting the best team on the park. Another one or two performances like that and I think Max will be fullback.

That's my recollection too. I assume it was more the constant threat of dropping than actual droppings.

We saw Taylor put Peachy out to pasture (maybe a touh early), but besides that it was mainly guys who were on the fringes that seemed to get rotated in and out a lot.

I think what Champion identified was that Lang actually verbalised "The job is yours." so Beau no longer felt the need to constantly look over his shoulder.

Also, I think Luke has always been good. He's just showing that Taylor was way off the mark in thinking that he couldn't play 80 minutes. Luke strikes me as a very strong willed (bordering on stubborn) man. Telling him he can't do something seems to spur him into doing it.

I don't see much point in dropping Wesser if there is the possibility of recalling him. Either stick with him or put him out to pasture. Period.

Considering Lang and his previous connection and the coach's tendency towards loyalty to his players, I doubt he'll be dropped unless he becomes consistently bad ... and then it might be a convenient injury followed by a graceful decision to retire to save face. Something like that.

Wesser doesn't deserve to finish his career in black and red, like Peachy had to.

Wow, you guys are a real fickle bunch. Wesser had probably his best game for us against the Knights a week ago. Prior to that he had been solid but not outstanding. One ordinary performance and you are all ready to wield the axe. The entire team were woeful yesterday. Wesser was just one of the bunch. He has always been a bit rocks or diamonds as a footballer and any Penrith supporter will tell you that he has always had the odd shocker in his game. His execution was ordinary yesterday, but at least he was having a go.
To be fair none of the Soths fans have called for him to be dropped, it's fans from other clubs who probably watched their first Souths match this season.
