West Coast vs Adelaide

Well, its quarter time @ Subiaco and scores are level @ 2/2/14 apiece, with West Coast probably on top due to an estimated 3 goal wind blowing with them in the upcoming second term.

Adelaide need to be smarter than they have been, as they have been playing right into West Coast's hands. With the Eagles, they tend to avoid corridor play like the plague, so you have to go fast and straight down the centre at every opportunity.

Alas, we've been seeing a lot of boundary hugging play from both sides, with West Coast failing to impress, and Adelaide playing far too cute and safe for the circumstances.

Kerr, Cox & Selwood have been great for the Eagles, and Judd has got a welter of uncontested possession, although much of it has been wasted by poor disposal.

For the visitors, nobody has really stood out, but Burton, McGregor & Henschel have all showed a bit.

Let's hope the standard lifts for the second term.

Been a typical prelim final with plenty of skill errors brought about by nerves and tough defence from both sides.
From a Sydney viewpoint I would feel more confident playing the Wiggles than the Corollas (also a certain matter of payback, after being screwed at Subi a couple of weeks back ;-) )

Indeed.

West Coast are on top at halftime leading by 7 points in a low scoring game.

Kerr has been fantastic for the blue & gold's with 23 possessions to halftime, and he was well supported in that quarter by Judd, who cobbled together 9 possessions, and improved his ball usage markedly to unsettle the Crows. Embley started to fire and kicked a couple of good goals, and both Seaby & Selwood are doing well.

Cox is doing alright, but is getting it tough from the Biglands/Clarke tandem ruck pairing. Goodwin, Edwards, Perrie & Burton have all been rock solid for the Crows, who really need to get more out of Riccuito & McLeod if they seriously hope to get up here.

Groan.

Its game over at 3 quarter time with the Eagles out to a 32 point lead at the final change.

Adelaide has bugger all going on up forward and can't possibly win from here.

Kerr & Selwood have continued to dominate out of the centre, with Hunter & Wirrpunda doing brilliantly down back.

Goodwin & Edwards continue to fight valiantly for the embattled Crows, and while Riccuito & McLeod have 29 possessions between them, they have failed miserably to hurt with them.

Poor showing from Adelaide.

Wow, they got within 9 points! I was going for Adelaide but i think, from a sydney point of view, They'd rather play West Coast as Sydney beat them earlier in the season and should've beaten em last game if not for some questionable descisions from umpires.

So Sydney are we now?

That's not bad, Essendon fail to make the finals and you immediately switch allegiance to the Swans?!
