The afl seems to be run by businessmen and the nrl is run by dopes.
If you want proof look at the way Vlandys dresses. The bloke can't do a tie to save himself. Evey jacket doesn't fit and his suit pants that look like they were bought by some 17 year old who bought the cheapest pair he could afford. I wouldn't give him an Interview let alone give him the keys to the nrl.

What's the saying about casting pearls before swine.

David Nofoaluma has given the Wests Tigers and coach Benji Marshall a social media sledge following a messy divorce from the club earlier this year.

The 31-year-old winger’s swipe at his old club was there for all to see when he referenced the club’s three consecutive wooden spoon seasons in a photo shared to Instagram.

He was and still is, a grub.
His career after the Tigers has proved we made exactly the right call.

Most suburbs (or areas) have at least 1 cricket oval. Aussie rules just use that.

Brisbane Lions been to my nephew's school in Brissie at least once a year. They give out a jersey and shorts each visit. The Broncos have yet to be sighted. Even the QLD reds have made an appearance.

It would appear it's not just a Tigers problem.

Surely these guys can find 2 hours a week to visit a school and do a coaching clinic. You don't even have to bribe them with swag. Just turn up. And if it's at a secondary school, try not to root the year 12 girls.
In fairness AFL clubs have about twice as many players in their squads so can spread them around more

I have high hopes for Bird, have enjoyed watching him play in the past. He seems very down to earth in this clip and I hope he really becomes a leader at the club, Just be that leader Jack, dont wait for some one to ask you to be .
His preference for the lock position is good for us to.
Didnt realise though he'd had as many ACLs as Douehi....hope theyre all behind him now

It’s behind a paywall so I can’t get in.
Sounds like we are prepared for a fire sale?

Tim spent like a drunken sailor and there was always going to be some kind of sobering reckoning.

A lot of clubs are in the same boat.

I just don’t trust our staffing staff to bring on the fresh meat.

They are the least experienced, have the worst record and were appointed on the mate.

Hopefully the players stray out of Benjis and Hodges lane as often as humanly possible and we jag a few wins.

Hopefully more than a few. Hahaha

Imo, it will be the forwards, especially Batemen and Klemmer performances that will decide a few things for us.

Sullivan and Bateman have killed our cap. We've let Papalli go as well and he would be perfect for us at lock. That was a cap decision which included trying to retain Stef. Some really poor decisions there. Benji is right in those decisions as well.

It doesn't matter if we trust them or not. The coaching staff and the players need to be on the same page for us to win more games.

We got buckleys if these two are going to be important for us. I'm hopeful Klemmer will be a decent quality front frower in our rotation. I hope they get rid of Bateman.

The Wests Tigers are ready to give Jayden Sullivan a $900,000 golden handshake to help him find a new home.
Sullivan signed a four-year deal, believed to be worth upwards of $2.4 million, to join the Tigers for the 2024 season. But he only managed eight first-grade games, and the Tigers won only once with him in the side.
They are now ready to sever ties with the 23-year-old half in a bid to clear salary cap space and reshape their roster. Sullivan has slipped down the pecking order and is, at best, fourth in line to play in the halves.
Lachlan Galvin and Jarome Luai will be the Tigers’ first-choice options under coach Benji Marshall next season, and they have impressive teenager Latu Fainu waiting in reserve should injury strike.
It means Sullivan is surplus to requirements and the Tigers are happy to help find him a new home by contributing as much as $300,000 a season for the remainder of his contract.

The hope is that, by chipping in up to half of his deal, the Tigers can help Sullivan lock down a spot at one of their NRL rivals.
Sullivan has time on his side as he looks to secure a place in the NRL and realise his unquestionable potential.
Yet the Tigers know they would be better placed spending Sullivan’s salary in other areas of their playing squad given he is unlikely to force his way into the starting side, or even onto the bench.
Fainu looks the likely option to support Galvin and Luai in a bench role, having made nine appearances last season despite battling hamstring problems.
Chief executive Shane Richardson’s predecessor, Justin Pascoe, signed Sullivan, saying in August last year: “I know he’s excited about our plans for next year and beyond, and I welcome Jayden and his family to Wests Tigers.”

Sullivan may not be the only player to leave the Tigers as they prepare for a busy off-season. Richardson has warned John Bateman he needs to toe the line or he could be gone as well while the Tigers are looked in a legal battle with young prop Jordan Miller after he was shown the door.

Richardson has held talks with Brisbane forward Kobe Hetherington while Sydney Roosters prop Terrell May is of interest, having been granted permission to leave Bondi for the 2025 season.
