Expressions of Interest: Independent Non-executive Directors
"Interested persons will be of the highest integrity, possess strong governance skills, display sound judgment, and have a proven track record in change management that has led to a successful culture."
Well that statement surely excludes anyone from the previous Wests Tigers administration from applying. In fact, make it apply to all those involved with running the club way back to when they first started the joint venture.
Hopefully by doing this, we will get rid of all the cronies that have kept us as a door mat for all those years.
Our club has been like a graveyard.
A club where players came to to ruin their careers, a club where administrators came to blow their own trumpets and stuff things up and leave...or get sacked.
It's now time to make it come alive, shiney and be successful.
I'm assuming these directors are like other companies where they are not company employees but whose job is to challenge, question and monitor the performance of the Wests Tigers CEO and other senior management staff.
Whilst we are all seemingly in support of Richo, it's important that we don't reinvent the wheel.
A CEO can be a powerful figure in a company who can twist, turn and mould it to how he wants it to be. This is OK if he wasn't a human. Humans make mistakes however.
Previous club administrators have made mistakes and compounded them by making even greater mistakes thus digging the grave deeper.
I hope that these new independent directors instill the
"WESTS TIGERS" first culture and not Western Suburbs or Balmain.
A gentle reminder to all the club administrators.....our club colours are an equal share of Black, Gold and White.
Let's start this new era by reapplying these colours back into our playing strip's and paraphernalia.
Tigers are not black!
