Well it’s an urgent presentation because they obviously felt the rumour and innuendo was gaining traction.

It was reported last year that Richo was less than impressed with the delays going on, but he can’t exactly throw the powers that be under the bus lol.

I would have been happy if the board had intervened on a few things tbh.
What board, the WT's or HBG?
Personally, I don't think the HBG board should interfere with the WT's club, unless it's a WT's board room issue.

I think what they may be referring to as 4 independents are, the Balmain, Wests and 2 independents (TBA).
They don't say who the core directors are, but earlier (in the last review), they wanted 7 directors, The Chair was appointed by WA, so not sure if he's indepenent or is WA employed? Plus 2 indepenents.
They've just sacked the HBG board member and I thought they were wanting to bring in 2 HBG guys?
Last year they had 5 but needed to have 7.

1 x Chair
1 x Balmain
1 x Wests
2 x HBG
2 x independents

Anyway, that's my understanding.
You might be right. Looks like we'll know by the end of the month.

I think it depends on the issue.

We’d still have Lee and Justin in charge if HBG hadn’t organised the coup and that was a good decision.

They might have other insights to raise the bar in club affairs.

If we get another spoon, I expect most of the football department to be moved on whether the WT board wants them or not.

I think Richo needs to put more pressure on Benji too. Business is business.

Poor old Barry didn’t say much. Lee would be frothing at the mouth.

They saw the need to come out from behind the cupboard to tell us all is well.

That’s fine, but obviously there’s smoke about or they wouldn’t have bothered.

Still, we do a good management crisis.

I still think we send them all packing and start afresh. Let’s have some democracy.
We’ve had these expert corporate candy store poppers and they’ve f**ked things up for years.

Good to compare this corporate outing to @macnaz’S Rick interview, which has held up well. I was a bit too quick to query him.

Don’t forget I’m a member and I feel thrown around like a rag doll atm lol.

The necessary evil is HBG has the money. It would be a totally different kettle of fish if WT were privately owned with the political agendas not interfering with the naming and the running of a footy team.

Clubs are always political, and always will be, look at how Parra use to carry on.
Why do you keep mentioning the naming of the footy club? Has something been said about this?
I have never heard that they override footy team decisions, I wouldn’t think any self respecting CEO would accept that, they approved the strategic management plan. It would be surprising to want to change it, before it started, but you would expect them to have a say in who the club management team is.
They do pay the bills.
I think once we start winning, everything will settle down for a while.

Yeah, I’m not impressed with any of the management, maybe more Richo but he’s essentially a servant.

If we had a member controlled entity with the right checks and balances, we end up with accountability across all levels.

I think we end up with more people having skin in the game instead of being courted with little return on investment.

The membership packages were pretty skint this year compared to last year and as I’ve said, my experience is that despite reassurances, they don’t actually listen to you, so there’s no point giving input.

As for funding, the media said we would struggle without Lees funding, but that never happened.

As for former Tigers or Magpies folk reminiscing and emailing about town, playing at some kind of rugby league version of James Bond, it’s a bit of laugh at best.

A bit like when we sent troops overseas earlier this century. We get the job done but unable to get these countries sturdy and the regimes who replace them have their own difficulties.

So our beloved Tigers leave but where’s the nrl license, where’s the $20m plus recurring funding? etc.

So she actually does have a face....the faceless one

First time Ive seen and heard her, hopefully the last
Well she wanted to sell the hope of 2025, a pre season position to which we’ve become well accustomed.

I didn’t pin too much on what she said.

I don’t really know what her credentials are, but as a member, it doesn’t matter.

I hope she’s right.

I'm usually not the one to bury my head in the sand but I really don't give a shitester about all the agitating magpie dribble. I've got health and personal issues that far outweigh my interest in the Campbelltown circus.
Wake me up when preseason starts as this black, gold and white tiger takes a break.

Understand, but it’s not a proper authentic pre-season unless there’s a scandal happening somewhere in the club.

Why should this year be any different?!

Jerome in the paper today:

He’s already had a few scraps apparently, doesn’t care about the bored issues and is backing himself to help pull us out of the mire.

He could have secured a deal elsewhere with less money but with more prospects of success, so he’s backing himself to be able to lift everyone I think. Massive ambition and he says, he wants to grow and learn personally from the challenges.

Life would be a lot easier slotting into a Penrith side for 800 or whatever. He could retire there now playing at the same (high standard) which he obviously feels is too comfortable.

In a way he’s saying that he’s moved on, not because he wants to win a premiership, but because he wants to try to lift a club to compete for one.

It’s uncommon, he’s really thrown himself into the fire. You often hear of players like Lomax accepting less to give themselves a better chance of the ccm.

It’s a massive deal, but not unrealistic for a player of his calibre.

A rumble with Klem lol. Big kids at it. Royce would accidentally kill someone in a rumble!

This 2025 side has a very strange and extraordinary psychological bent to it. A range of personalities and motivations.

No, I went to visit but couldn’t get on.

This forum is having some issues today as well.

Hope you and friends there are keeping well.

Yeah I usually just lurk around here TSP.
I find the other one user friendly, this one is cumbersome, and these are my only soc med, I don’t instaface or tocktweet.
I reckon some will be having withdrawals with the other one down at the moment.
I’m been replanting Bonsai’s, so I’m all zen.
