Wests Leagues Campbelltown sell stake in Wests Tigers

The Magpies football club is full of utter spastics with no idea how the real world works.

They have no power, contribute no money but are full of obstructionist bullshit. Even dumb enough to rail against the Wests Ashfield board after they had promised funding for the Ron Massey Cup side.

Wests Ashfield is a smart, business minded club that wants Wests Tigers to succeed.

That is the only thing that matters out of all of this. The success and future of Wests Tigers.

Feel free to disagree

I'm glad I have your permission to repond.:)

Firstly, let me suggest some facts.

Under the merger terms of agreement, were both sides required to enter teams in the next level of open-age competition down from the NRL?

Answer: I say "Yes"; what do you say?

Under the Sheans, Humphries (non) leadership, were Wests juniors forced from the Wests NSW Cup squad to the Balmain, Ryde-Eastwood NSW Cup squad, leaving the Wests NSW Cup side (and continously under strength)as the 3rd wheel in the merger?

Answer: I say "Yes"; what do you say?

Could the Wests group finance a Wests NSW Cup side?

Answer: I say "Yes"; what do you say?

With the withdrawal of financal support from Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club from their NSW Cup side, could Balmain Football Club have financed a Balmain NSW Cup side?

Answer: I say "No"; what do you say?

Therefore, the only reason why you Tabbies are so supportive of a joint NSW Cup side (Wests Tigers) is you know that there was no way there would have been a Balmain side in the NSW Cup but there would have been a Wests Magpies side (with all our juniors back and training out of Campbelltown). Something the old flea-ridden tabbies from the Balmain Football Club could or would not have stomach.

So why wouldn't the Wests Football Club have the shits; the RMC offer from the Wests Leagues Club was a form of appeasement; and yes, it was rejected initially as the Wests Football Club quiet rightly defended the fact that under the merger agreement terms - Wests Magpies had a right to play in the NSW Cup.

Let's face it under Humphries rule Balmain have had the run of the green in the merger for a number of years.

Now that this turd is gone or going, let's hope it becomes the 50% partnership it was meant to be.

I personally have wanted the joint NSW Cup side for the last 4 years and have been quite open about that.

The only way forward is Wests Tigers.

On the right to represent at NSW Cup level it was agreed upon but never a part of the Joint Venture agreement. It was a resolution passed but never part of the articles of incorporation of the new entity.

Ryde Eastwood were ready to fund the side again if it remained split and had not committed pending the outcome of the vote. Which is why they are now the major sponsor of the State Cup side. The paperwork was drawn up for entry with special dispensation from the NSWRL for late application were the joint venture side concept be bought down.

It is very clear to me you would fit right in at a Football Club meeting. You fit the mold with nothing but a backwards focus to two teams which no longer exist in any substantive way. People of your ilk and your counterparts from the Balmain nutters are a big part of the reason this club is stagnating and never progressed as we should have after our 2005 premiership.

On players being forced this actually occurred both ways when the structure was Western Suburbs receiving contracted forwards and Balmain receiving contracted halves and backs

1: So, yes it was a resolution passed.

2: Proof, please.

3: Straight out bullshit

1. Yes but nothing to do with the joint venture agreement and it therefor changeable by a vote to form a JV State Cup team which is exactly what happened. That is the difference.

2. The only proof I have is conversations held with two senior directors of Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club. The rumor started they were pulling out was exactly that, a rumour.

3. 2009 I believe was the year. Will have to double check to be sure though

This thread got a mention in todays Radio LeagueUnlimited / A View from the Hill Podcast.

Listen to what the panel had to say about the troubles at the Balmain Leagues Club as well as the idea that Tom Waterhouse would not have been a problem if he put on a skirt and a wig.
