Brett Hodgson, Wests Tigers life member, joins the coaching staff for 2025.
He needs no introduction but in short his experience in coaching is limited like Marshall, Morris and Heighinton and it will be interesting to see if these band of brothers can work together and lift us off the bottom of the ladder.
Brett recently spent time coaching Hull FC and assisted with the Australian and English rugby teams.
Prior to this he was an assistant coach to Wests Tigers in 2018 and a head coach with Western Suburbs Magpies.
He also has been a kicking coach on assignment with various teams.

A bit of a love fest for Benji, but everyone seems to be on board.

They mention, they are doing a lot of work on defence, we'll see. Who is the defence coach?
Our defense has been atrocious & our Achilles heel for yrs.Its about bloody time we become ruthless in defense. We won’t make the 8 until we rectify our piss weak defense & im expecting the revival to start this season. However if our defense doesn’t improve dramatically this love fest for Benji will count for nothing as he will become unemployed by end of season.

I reckon it might take a while Ted. It took Canterbury and Ciraldo a year to get their defence in order. He's commonly regarded as a defensive genius with good reason.

I don't think we have anyone even close to Ciraldo's skill set. Luai will need to take charge of this and transplant everything he learnt from the Penrith system. Hopefully our coaches hoover all this up and set up our system based on this. It would need to be a bit more simplistic than Penrith's as we're so far behind.

We conceded 750 points last year. If we can improve by 100 or even 150 it will be massive. Still won't be enough to take the 8 without a similar improvement in attack.

We haven't seen our full strength team on the field yet so I guess time will tell.
