AS one of Skando's biggest critics, i'll eat my words. Gladly.

He has been simply superb this year, a real workhorse, and making plenty of metres. A++ effort from him. And i'm enjoying being able to say that :)

Would not look out of place in the sky blue.

Prince should get the number 7 for Qld in my opinion. Easily the pick of the bunch. And he's just getting started...

Skandalis was easily the best front rower in the city/country game in 2001 I believe, however, no origin selection of course. I can't see a Tigers player playing for NSW in the next 3 or so years, unless they are in absolutely dynamic form. NSW team selection is fvcked, how some useless fool like Josh Perry played origin is beyond me. It's a Roosters/Knights/Dragons team, plus a couple of others.

Anyway, I believe Sattler has a good chance at getting a bench spot, not in the starting 13 though. Prince, in theory is good for #7, but it'll go to Berrigan I reckon. But if any Tigers are in the QLD team, then go the Maroons!!!

the big game for skando is the clash against the panthers on friday night footy the week before city v country.
the tigers could be in the top 4 that week,so the attention will be there, and boof could also be back to make the job even easier for skando.

every year there are shock selections, weather it be players being retained after little game time or average form.so i'll just sit back and watch.

i hope skando smashes the panthers though, and doesn't end up with a broken back carrying the tigers.

simon - I believe a bloke namned Flannery may be ahead of Satts for the QLD No. 13 - and after his failed experiment last year being used off the bench as a back-up dummy half - I would be very surprised to see him picked!

If Harrison can string a few good games together he may win a spot in the kiwi side. Hadley spoke well of Halatau as well. Mentioned that he was in the running for a kiwi spot.

I can't see Bronson actually making the kiwi side but i could see them selecting him in the training squad - simply to ensure that they get first claim on him.

Bronson and Dene are both eligible for either country so it would be smart of NZ to try and lay claim to them early (as they are both WAY off NSW contention now but likely to come into the picture in a few years)

I doubt we'll have anyone but prince come into serious origin contention this year but I can see a few of our contracted players turning up in the minor rep games (City-Country + City firsts along with NSW under 19's etc) - which at least helps them gets their name out there for future years.
